My First WOW Moment

I am a little over 3 months out, and although I've had a couple of moments where I've thought "that's cool,"  I haven't actually felt like WOW THAT IS AWESOME!

Well, today I had a WOW THAT IS AWESOME moment!

The day of my surgery, I was wearing a size 24 pants.  Today it was very cold...I wore a pair of capris to take my son to school.  Before I went out for the rest of the day, I decided to change into some pants...I realized I didn't have any long pants that weren't too big (what a terrible problem to have!) and decided to try on this pair of size 18 linen pants my friend sent to me.   I pulled one leg on, it went up...pulled the other leg on and it went up...pulled them up over my butt, and it went up.  Thought there was no way they were going to button and zip...buttoned and zipped WITH ROOM TO SPARE!

Last time I weighed myself I'd lost 50.5 lbs.

It's such a wonderful feeling to be going DOWN in clothing sizes and not UP for a change!  For so long I would dread trying things on because I just knew they weren't going to fit.  Man, I can't BELIEVE size 16 is just around the corner.

Thanks for letting me share.  I love reading all of your wow moments...I'm so happy I finally have one of my own to share.    woohoo!!!

YAY AMY!!  I know how you feel girl.. I just had that same feeling a couple of weeks ago.  It feels good and strange too to be able to go to the misses section and buy pants.  :) Keep up the good work!!!

YEA, it is a wonderful thing when your pants no longer fit. SAVE one pair of 24's , hold them up to yourself during the jorney and take lots of pictures, you will enjoy them when you are wearing a size 10 ( that day is coming soon TRUST me )  ..... if my big ol butt can wear a 10 you can also. Have a great weekend Loser
