Congratulations!  It's a good feeling to know you're no longer in limbo.  The waiting was the hardest part for me.  As far as surgery, they'll tell you no make-up, no jewelry, no nail polish, and they'll most likely have you wash this nasty smelling anti-bacterial soap.  You'll have at least one more appointment with your doctor.  I had to spend half a day at admission getting poked and prodded too, but each hospital is different. In any event, it'll all be worth it.  Good luck and please keep us posted. Take care. Ellen

Own it all, it's yours!

Congrats and ditto to above. I was told no nail polish so I treated myself a couple of days before surgery and had a nice pedicure.  I had a hard time explaining why I didn't want any polish, even clear... (Language barrier).  But the fellow who did my toes and finally understood was just beside himself with joy for me and said he can't wait for me to come back.  I'm just starting to get out and about and was looking at my toes the past few days thinking it's time for another treat of the feet! It was a nice feeling knowing I went into the hospital with "groomed" feet!  I highly recommend this pre-surgery treat be put into your schedule a day or two before the big day!  It was nice to get those "rough edges" smoothed away.

I can't believe that I missed your post :-( ...

Congratulations on your great news. I'm sure that they'll be able to schedule you so that you have a chance to recover from whatever is ailing you.

We'll have the loser's bench all polished up and ready for you.

Please be sure to get an angel so that we'll know how you are doing.

Enjoy! The best is yet to come!

Wooooooooo hooooooooooo!!!  I'm happy for you!  I remember that day, it feels like it'll never get here and then all the sudden things happen!  Don't worry about anything, they'll tell you what you need to do...  Just remember to bring something comfortable and not binding to wear on the way home - I forgot and my poor parents had to drive 1 1/2 hours each way to go get me something.. lol!!!  Keep us posted!!!
