Hi there... If you did go last night to the Support Group Meeting at NorthEast Medical in Concord let me know. I was there for the first time and might have met you.

I was sitting on second row near the left. I asked about the Medical ID Bracelets. I am sorry you are having problems falling. I was with the girl that turned around and said that she had gone through it also and was put on topamax. She and I work together and she had vertigo really bad. She finally now has it all under control. I hope it gets better for you soon. Congrats though on your success so far!! Connie

Thanks, Connie. I remember you! I got my results back this week -- my thiamine (B1) level is "critically low". So now I'm taking 100 mg of B1 daily in addition to my other usual B complex and other supplements. I'll make a post about it, but thought I'd update you on what the issue was.

When are the NE meetings each month? I had my surgery at CMC, but live in Kannapolis -so NE would be sooo much closer. Plus, it would be nice to meet people close to home.

This was my first meeting and I am still pre-op, but I do plan to go back. From what I understand the meetings are the first Tuesday of every month 6-7pm in the Medical Arts Building. Then you go downstairs to the basement floor to the classrooms. Next month there will be a cooking class. They said that one is usually fun and lots of people attend. So that will be a great time for you to come. I'm not positive I will be able to go because that will be 7 days after surgery for me. So, I can't wait to hear all about the fun and food and recipies.
