USMC birthday ball

Well this Friday is the big day! I LOVE going to the ball! I want to first apologize to Suzanne and Sheila for not rounding up dates...most of the older Staff NCOs are married that hubby works with.. so unless you want some of the young guys LOL maybe next year. The ball is in Myrtle Beach at the convention center. Im getting my hair and makeup done in the morning at the salon here in Jacksonville then home to pack up my dress and hubbys dress blues and then we will be off. I have already planned ahead and put Crystal lite drink singles in my evening bag since most of the balls serve non sugar free drinks. I also am going to eat S L O W and stop when Im full. Lately my pouch is not letting me take more then four bites and the last thing I want to do is dump at the ball!!! I will miss having a piece of birthday cake but thats ok!! My dress fits great and I will post photos when I return... Happy 232th birthday Marines and Marine family members!!!!

Darcie, Sounds like this will be a great weekend.  I can't wait to hear all about it and see you in the new dress.  If you know what you need to do to keep your pouch stable... i'm sure you will do everything possible to make that happen.  You are smart for planning ahead with the Crystal lite and that right there proves you are already a step ahead.  How cool is that!  you can say...  Water Please and make everyone wonder what you are drinking.     Enjoy...you deserve it.  Have Fun! Holy Crap Darcie...I can't believe your ball is all the way in Myrtle Beach!  What the heck!?  My husband was moaning about the one he went to last night being in Atlantic Beach.  LOL  The one he has to go to Friday night is at the O'Club and evidently I'm dropping him off (I'm not going this year...still too much weight to lose, but I'm going to be there next year looking hot!  haha)

I know, we usually go to The New Bern Sheraton Grand, hubby is with a HUGE Squadron this year and they are combining a bunch of the Squadrons and having one huge ball. Myrtle Beach Convention center was the only place big and nice enough to hold the ball. We really do not want to drive all the way down there and have been to Myrtle Beach 20 gazillion times so its not like a *fun* getaway. Being prior active duty I never get sick of the ball, I just wi**** was back up in New Bern or Atlantic Beach. Last year was HORRIBLE.. it was at the Hilton in Wilmington and the ball room at that hotel is tiny!!! when everyone sat down for dinner (and I could see what was going to happen being on a prior banquet staff lol) no one could move without smashing into the person sitting directly in back of you. and what do you mean too much weight to lose? you would be one of the hottest persons at the ball girlfriend!!! You look fantastic!
