Revision

I had RNY surgery in April of 2003.  I lost and maintained at my goal weight until October of 2006 when I had to go in for a total knee replacement.  At this point, I could not exercise and my weight started ballooning.  I had to have a revision on the same knee again in July of 2007 and AGAIN am not able to exercise.  During this period, I became depressed and my weight plummeted and I'm not weighing 205 which is 35 pounds from my goal 170 pounds.  I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and what they did about it.  I was wondering if I went back to the basics of the initially had the surgery, would it help to reduce?   Is a revision necessary and if so have anyone had problems with revisions? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

I have not had RNY nor a knee replacement but wanted to say please dont get frustrated, although I know it's justified.  My mother just had both knees done with a partial, and she complained on how there was no excercise she could do and felt herself gaining weight because it's hard not to think about snacking when you're chair/bed bound.  Once your knees have healed though, you'll be even better than before and I bet you wont be able to stay put then!  Hope you have a Blessed day! I am sorry to hear about the problems with your knee. I pray for the right solution that will help you. I must say that you look wonderful and I hope that I can keep the weight off like you have.  Four years of hard work!  You deserve a big hand clap!
