Thoughts, experience and opinions welcomed. I have been reading up on this lately and am curious about this. I wish I had known about this before I went to my psych. evaluation just to ask questions about this.  I don’t have an addictive personality. But I do love to eat.

You can get lots of info online about this subject.  I think awareness is half the battle.  It's important to keep our eyes open to traps like this.  Your support group, if your surgeon has one, can invite a psych to speak on the topic.

I am with Suzanne.. the point here is that you are AWARE of the situation.  Channel it in a positive manner.  :)  Good luck with your psych evaluation.

I have done extensive research into this, even went to counseling on it this past summer and I've not had any problems.  I agree that awareness will keep us from going off the deep end with something else. Keep well, Diane
