My 1st little WoW today!

I haven't been posting much as I've been recovering but turning the corner and feeling better and better every day.   My surgery was 10/18 so today I'm 2 weeks and 2 days post-op.  I have lost 35 lbs.  since 9/20 when I started on low carbs to clean my liver for surgery.  Of the 35, I lost 13 of that post surgery.  After my shower this morning, I decided to hunt for something with a 2X instead of 3X to see if I could find something that would fit. I pulled out this knit pants/top lounge outfit that I haven't had on in a couple of years due to its "snug-ness."  Well WoW!  It fits perfectly and if anything is on the lose side.  The boy that cuts my grass said "Wow Miss Wendy, I can really tell you've lost some weight!"  when he came to the door a little while ago for his money.  Talk about making MY day... I can tell in the mirror that about 3/4 of one chin is gone!  And the oddest thing... when I went to my first follow up appt. Tuesday, I wore a pair of favorite shoes... sorta loafer types that are usually a perfect fit, and they were like flip flops all day and drove me crazy trying to keep on my feet.  I usually lose boobies first so losing a chin and in my feet is new for me.   But I'll take it.

HOWEVER, I know I'm losing all over now that I'm in this new old outfit.  So here's to my first WOW day! GO PIRATES!!!!!!!

Congrats, Wendy! I haven't been brave enough to try those 'other' clothes just yet. Maybe I will this week.  Are you planning to come to the support group on Wednesday night (Nov. 7) at SS? I know it would probably be a drive for you, but it would be nice to see you again! We have people come from Goldsboro and as far as the Outer Banks so you wouldn't be alone in your traveling! Keep up the good work and hope to see you soon. :)

Congratulations on your WOW moments! I went back to work after 3 weeks and my shoes and my glasses were falling off all shift!  We lose weight differently with the surgery.  I felt like a candle melting at both ends. Diane
