BROKEN RECORD ---

Thank God for dogs :)   A few years back a man tried to get into my truck , while I was making a deposit at the bank after hours drop box ( before the days of ATM ) ... lucky for me I had my female German Shepherd Dog , Delta with me ( she was very much a German Shepherd VERY Protective ) .. Well the guy did not see the 130 pound dog due to the shading on my camper shell on the truck but Delta saw him just fine, she sprang into action ( before I even knew he was there ) she almost ripped his arm off when he put his hand inside the passengers window.. his feet left the ground she had hold ,, she let go the man ran off to the little white car that was waiting,,, the cops were called ( thanks to the fellow at the viedo store who had called because he saw the car and it was out of place ) ... anyways Delta took a chunk out of him, blood all over her chest and mouth and inside my truck door... She was my hero that day and many more to come.  I got Delta the day she turned 6 weeks old and I had to say good by a week before she would have turned 13 years , she was joy and a blessing, ( now I am in tears THANKS ) ..... Dogs - if only everyone knew what we knew :)

Thats a good idea about the panic button. Mine will activate my car alarm from anywhere in the house as well (which seems to amuse my son to no end lol).

If this guy wasn't so wasted he would be thanking God or whoever that he DIDNT get in the house. My dogs were literally HURLING themselves at the window trying to get to him, once they realized how scared I was.

Im glad that you are ok!!! thats why I love my house alarm... I keep it set when Im alone and the sound alone would make anyone RUN LOL our backyard is totally fenced in with a high security fence and all the gates are locked so I only have to worry about creeps in the front of the house... my dogs go nuts when they hear people or the doorbell just like yours. Im glad nothing happened!!

I hope you called 911 and gave them the description!!!  Ok, whew...  I'm a 911 dispatcher and just had to say it.  I'm glad you shocked him by looking through the window, a lot of people are too afraid to look but it helps the police catch the bad person if there is a decription.  I know it can be scary!  When I lived in Beaverton Oregon I had that happen to me.  It was like 3am and I heard 2 guys talking outside my window and heard them fiddling with the door knob and checking windows (no doggies to help though... sigh).  I called 911 and when they asked for I had to admit that I didn't look... and I worked for the department... lol!  Since then I have turned on my light and looked any time I hear anything.  I'm glad you're doing alright and the doggies did their job!!!!   Have a good and safe night!! I'm glad you called 911, it is weird huh?  He must have been drunk to have just stayed there until the police got on scene...  Most of the time as soon as lights come on or they hear someone inside they go running.  Anyway, I should have read the rest of your post... ugh!  I hope you have a great night! He was right up against the door when i peeked at him the first tiem and his eyes were WILD so yeah he was on something or another. I've been in the situation sorta before - I was robbed at a convenience store I worked in in Hampstead and then again when I worked in a Subway in Wilmington, both times I paid attention to descriptions and what direction the people left in. Course the first guy got caught before he got out of the parking lot lol. Things like that make me appreciate my insulated office job now though lemme tell ya
