ps.... I ate a Hersheys miniature bar tonight..only ONE.. I know go ahead and yell at me... the scary part is I did not dump it.

Darcie, Looks like you had fun!!!  You're doing great!!!  Keep the pictures coming!  I know I need to update mine but I just haven't had time.  No yelling from me...  Don't beat yourself up over 1 miniature Hershey's bar, you did it but you stopped at one, something you would never have done before WLS right?  Just keep it under control...  Keep up the great work girl!  Next time I see you I won't know who you are!!!  I feel another Swanyk's night coming!

WOW you are meltttttingggg  :)   GREAT  One Hershey mini would set with me okay ---- 2 I would barffffff so don't worry a bite of Hershey can get you. Get all the candy out of the house OR set a picture frame of your old self next to the candy bowl it will help keep you away.  Remember you are A NEW WOMAN NOW , we do not part take in such nasty things as chocolate . I loved the pictures and I could not help but notice YOU HAVE A PUG OMG ... I am a Pug nut . I have 2 --- Pugsley who rules my house and life he is 7 years old . I also have a female The Cheese who is 3 and is very bossy. In addition to my Puggets I have 2 German Shepherd Dogs , Lilly and Stewie  Have a great day Slim  :)

Love the picture Darcie!  Looks like you had fun!   I'm sure one miniature Hershey bar wasn't a deal breaker.  I was tempted to eat a starburst, but feel like it's just a little too early for me yet.  I just start pureed food today.   But, the bottom line, once I'm healed and everything, I really feel like we should be able to have a small bite of anything (pouch approving, of course.)  Moderation is key, of course you don't want to do that every day, but on occassion?  You still need to live life!  So, good for you that you stopped at one mini Hershey bar on Halloween, and if you feel good about it, enjoy a bite or two of Pumpkin Pie on Thanksgiving.  Everyone may not agree with me, but that's my opinion.  A healthy lifestyle leaves room for tiny splurges.  So I'm not yelling at you, I'm saying congratulations for what sounds like a great evening!

Thanks Deb, I did not have this surgery to be banned from sugary foods forever. My pouch seems to be ok with sweets and I agree a bite here and a bite there is fine, its just the old me would of woofed down the entire bag of candy and I stopped. I would of probably done worse if I did the *I didnt eat one piece* because then I wouuld of felt deprived and ate it till it made me sick, thanks for the post and letting me know someone else thinks like I do!!
