Back on the loosers bench!!!!!!!!! Woo hoo!!!....

I am sooo amazed that this pouch of mine still works!!!   I moved back to NC a little over 2 years ago and since then I've been eating wrong, drinking with my meals and not excersizing as much as I need to...  And I gained 32lbs (I thought it was only 25ish - boy was I surprized!)  Well I decided a week ago to take charge of my life again and started the 5-day pouch test.  Before I even started I thought I wouldn't make it through the first day (days 1 & 2 are all liquids), but to my amazement I wasn't even hungry!  Not only did I get through the first day but I got through all 5 days and that included meeting some of my OH friends at Ruby Tuesday's on Sunday (that was a fun time!).  Anyway, I went to the doctor's yesterday and I'm down 7 lbs!!!  I'm going to continue using the habits I have re-learned and try to get the rest of this off...  I may even do the hole 5 day plan every month or so just to make sure I'm on track!   Anyway, I just had to give myself a pat on the back!  I'm sooo glad to be back on the loosers bench!  I found it's never too late!

Thanks Ellen,  I'm so excited that I'm back on track!  I saw the 5-day pouch test on the Graduates board and watched a few people's process through it.  The plan seemed to work for them so I figured I'd try it.  Here's the link...  http://www.livingafterwls.com/forum/index.php?act=idx   Have a great night! Hey back Sista!   Thank you, thank you!  lol!  It was great to see you also girl!  You look marvelous!   Thanks for the protein powder also, it's good with a banana and ice blended in (but I made too much and couldn't drink it all).   A Jacksonville meetup sounds good to me too.  Suggestions?  Hmmm...  There is always dinner somewhere or dancing (hehehe, maybe Noodle would even go this time).   I can't think of anything else right now but I'll try to think of something.  When are we thinking of having this shin-dig?   Love ya too, Sheryl

Sheryl -

Congrats on your success in recognizing the gain, stopping it and finally, putting it in reverse! You must be very proud of yourself.

You inspire me and give me such hope. Not only that I might actually get to goal, but that with some work I can maintain and/or regain control ... even if I slip and fall. I'm sooooo afraid that I'll blow it again ... you know, lose weight and then just put it back on. But you help me to see that not only can I take it off, but I can maintain the loss and/or regain control if that's what I need to do.

Again, warmest congratulations and thanks,

Barb

Barb,  Thanks for the sweet words!  I'm glad I can help in any way!!!   I know you can make goal and keep control of your weight!!  I just have to keep an evil eye on that carb intake and how much I eat.  I think we all gain some weight in the long run but the question is when is enough?  When I started having to buy bigger sized clothing (more than once) and saw that scale go up up up, I got scared!  When I'd lost 217bs, I was proud of myself.  But I started eating the way I used to before WLS and no****ching portions or  how much was protein and how much was carbs - and also drinking while eating...  Oh and I am a CHOCOHOLIC so that doesn't help!  Anyway, I was sooo happy when I saw the link to the 5-day pouch test and I'm even more happy now that I know it's another tool I can use to keep on track!  I'm going to loose this weight again and I'm going to watch that scale, if it goes up a couple pounds then I know I have to focus again.  Some people don't like to watch the scale but I think I'm one that will need to.  I don't like counting calories or using fitday (I just don't get on line every day so it's not beneficial to me) so that's the way I'll have to control things I think.  I hope you have a happy halloween and keep up the great work!!!!
