newbie.....

Hey Everyone My name is Bethany. I am new to the message board thing, so please bare with me! I live/work in the Monroe NC area. I have been on the WLS journey since April. I just got my surgery date last week and am soooo excited, nervous, happy, scared etc! My date is set for November 14 at 12pm.  I have enjoyed reading the questions, answers, and general posts on the boards so far. I am just looking to make some new friends and get support from people that know what I am going through.  Have a great day. Bethany

Hey Bethany,  Welcome  And Congrats on getting your surgery date, I just got my surgery Tuesday and am scheduled for November 27th, after a long year and a half of messing around with insurance, long story short we were lucky enough to get our insurance changed to BCBS YEA!!    It was so awesome to get that call and hear them say "You have been approved and we have a surgery date"  So I know how you feel.  Anyway this board is a great place to come for support, information and just about anything, everyone one that I have had contact with has been great.   So Bethany  I wish you huge success on your Journey, There can only be great things to come.

Welcome a board and my surgery date is November 8^th. I go Monday for my doctor appointment with DR Moran and find out what time. I also have my pre-op Thursday. So I'm getting excited too. I have not got scared not yet but I think the closer it get I will.

Hey Bethany!  Welcome and congrats on your surgery date!   Did you know there was a support group at CMC-Union?  We meet the second Tuesday of each month and have a great time.  :)  Hope you can make it!

Bethany, My surgery was Aug 7, 2007 and it was nothing as bad as I had imagined.  Just remember the cureall is walk, walk, walk while in the hospital.  It will help all problems!! Welcom to the NC OH family - these ladies are the BEST!!!  Dianne

Welcome to the group!! Dr Lowe is great... such a nice man :-) Hopefully we will see you at the next support group 11/19/07... if you cant make that then the one in December!
