Ok all you who have pm'd me about the date Friday night.  This is for you... I had the most wonderful time that I have had in a VERY long time.  I laughed so hard I was crying Friday night.  This guy is REALLY great and I really enjoyed myself immensely.

We ended up seeing each other again on Saturday.  We decided to go to the fair and walk around.  I must say the company was so great...I didn't even desire the taste of my favorite annual FUNNEL CAKES!  He is in San Diego this week teaching a class but will be back Saturday.  He has invited me over for dinner Saturday evening.  I haven't told him about my surgery so that should be very interesting.  Anyways, so for the delay in my update...it has been a whirlwind of a week.  Hope everyone is well... Much love to all!  Candice

Thanks Jenn... I don't think so but I am also protective of who I tell... He is has been fond of me way before WLS was even a considered possibility.  I need to tell him...but I am nervous about that!

Nothing wrong with being protective of sharing your wls decision with.. some people are judgemental.  But.. if this guy really like you... he will like you skinny or otherwise!!    I am looking forward to hearing more about your date!  I have been married 10 years.. so it is nice to hear about your new dating life.  :)

Thanks for the update, Candice!  So happy to hear you had a good time, not just once, but twice! I guess I would ask God for direction and guidance on the surgery revelation...  I have a tendency to charge right in and that is not often in my best interests. Keep us posted on the interview and good luck with that!  I pray that God's will be done for the greater good of all.

Candice -

To say that I'm delighted for you is an understatement ... and so is Sarah. I'm sure from what you have told me about him, he will be very supportive when you tell him about the life changing steps you have taken to ensure your long-term health and happiness.

Love you bunches,

Barb

Congrat's on your new Beau!  You deserve to have a good person in your life.  If you both were friends before, I doubt WLS is going to scare him off.  He might see your eating habits a little odd, but it's better to explain than having him think you're not enjoying the food.  (to go box for later snuggling on the couch in front of TV?) hmmmmmm????  Can't wait to hear the next chapter....and yes, I passed on funnel cakes at a football game, all I smelled was grease, grease, grease! Candice, I am so happy and excited for you! I have to share how Tim, my current fishing catch ( lol) found out about my surgery. A couple weeks ago, there was this nice couple camped out on the beach where Tim and I were fishing- they offered us 2 steaks grillled to join them for dinner. I kinda froze and thought "oh no....". But , I graciously accepted the steak ( skipped the potatoe salad and macroni salad) and Tim and I sat down on his tailgate to eat and watch an incredible sunset. I am busy cutting my tiny, tiny bites of steak and he leans over and asks- have you had wt loss surgery- you eat like a bird? I was dumbfounded! He had observed all my healthy snacks when fishing and then my little, slow bites of steak and nailed it on the head. God sure has a way of taking care of things....Tim now thoroughly enjoys eating all my left overs.....I think he ate more of my scallops today at lunch, than I did. Let us know how Sat goes! Good luck! Sheila

I am a work in progress and I am committed to progress with the work ahead of me.....
