Hair??

It's not chewable, but I chew it anyway, at least partially.  It tastes absolutely nasty, but it works and I will do what I need to do to help keep my hair.  I can swallow most pills these days, but I don't with my vitamins because I want to give my stomach as much of a head start as possible towards digestion.  Just one of my "things" I guess. :)

Own it all, it's yours!

Is Biotin a prescription? I am 2 months post-op and my hair is breaking. When I was it, I have clumps to come out. During the day, I am constantly removing shedding hair off my clothes.
Also want to know how you take Biotin or any other medicine. When can you begin to swallow pills again?
Thanks for the info.

Jennifer -

I was losing a little bit until this week and now I'm shedding like puppy in springtime. Good news ... I have a lot of hair. Bad news ... it's dark. Right now, it's about as bad as it was after my gall bladder surgery 13 yrs ago and when I was pregnant with my twins. I guess I'll just have to see what happens. I knew that this was likely and I have to say at this point, it's worth the trade.

Hope yours continues to stay thick.

Hello Everyone,

Mine started coming out when I was 2 months out.....I made sure that I had plenty of protein increase. I did go and get a short haircut...something easy to care for. When I was about5 months outs...ot slowed down alot and started to grow back in...I'm still sporting the short hair cut....I like it and it's very easy to care for. Have a Great Day                                                                                                                                    Stephanie

How much biotin do you guys use...& what kind?  I figure I might as well start now.  It won't hurt, and maybe it will help minimize the losses.

I take one sublingual tablet daily.  It is nice.. an orange flavor.  I got it at The Vitamin Shoppe.  It is 1,000 MCG which is 333% the recommended daily allowance.  :) Here is what I buy: http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/store/en/browse/sku_detail.jsp? id=SO-1390

Thanks Jennifer!  I guess I should think about adding this to my vitamin regimen.  It won't hurt to try it!
