Do you or have you ever felt like you were bugging your surgeons office to move things alone? All of the list of things I needed to have done are done and completed. They have been for about two week s with the exception of my mammogram which has just been done and sent to their office.

I check the website daily and they never update it ,so I email them. I am starting to feel like maybe I shouldn't bug them.

Any experiances you have had would greatly be appreciated.

When I followed up with my surgeon I would call and speak with somebody or leave a message... I always allowed 48 hours for them to get back to me. If they didnt I would call back again the following day.

Blongirl- Hello there.  YEP...been right where you are and I too have Dr. B.  You can actually look at a couple of posts that I have had and see my cry for help here on the board also.   The ppl here gave some good advice.   It sounds like I was exactly where you were...my information was waiting on Dr. B to look over.  It was still on his desk when I decided to just call and let them know that it had to be done.  Offer to do it for them, or offer to come up and see them.  that is what I did and it seemed to get the ball rolling.  I don't think they wanted me showing up.  At the same time I didn't want to feel pushy either.  Someone told me though that it was MY HEALTH and they can't continue to do this to me, because I am THEIR client.  So...I did take the bull by the horns and called them and said that I would be there in x amount of days to find out what else I could do to help move the process along.  I got a phone call back within a couple hours.   Best of luck to you.  You have one of the best Docs around.  You know his office is busy!!  Especially now with the end of the year approaching and lots of people trying to get in their insurance needs prior to the new year.   what are you having done at Dr. B?  email me if you want.   Thanks! Connie

I never had real issues with the office staff at Drs B & P.  However, you are your own best advocate with your insurance co, so do what you need to do.  It may mean sending the info in yourself.  Have you made a friend of someone at your insurance?  Make sure you do that.  It helps a ton. As an aside, I found out yesterday on this board that Dr. P and wife had a baby last week.  So, I would bet the office has been a little short handed for a week or two while he is doing the daddy thing.  That may be part of the issue. Hang in there, and take charge of your health. Robin

Been there .....done that.... They will not turn your stuff into ins. till everything on your list is complete and Dr. B signs off on it.  I called about once a week and got the girl to check my list. Make sure you know what was turned in. Be patient also He is one of the best and everyone wants him. So they are busy. Once it is tuned into ins and is approved things go better. My first visit was June 8 and I am still waiting on a date, Hope to get one Wednesday. It may have taken a little longer for me cause I had some other probs. Hang in there Myrtis

They have everything now, I did it. I sent an email and told them I was going to stop by to find out what else was needed. They emailed me back right away. They have it all and are getting ready to send it into insurance. I am going to wait until Thursday of this week and call and follow up to make sure they do it.  I know how busy they are, we all are busy. I just want to make sure my stuff does not get lost in the shuffle.

Thank you all for your great advice. I can't wait to hear back. Pins and needles for sure.
