Centers of Excellence

Does anyone know where the centers of excellence are and if they take medicare HMO/s Thanks

Betty, I would call the insurance # and ask them, not all insurances approve all centers of excellence, aka: COE.  I used Dr. Bauman from Concord for mine with BCBS, and I am very satisfied with them. Best of luck in your journey. Nancy

Even if you have a medicare advantage HMO, you should be able to see your closest COE even if they are "out of network" because medicare requires the facility to be a COE in order for them to pay. You just have to get a "referal" to the COE from your PCP.
