Plateaus When Changing Routines

Technically a plateau is when you do not lose pounds or inches for 4 weeks or longer. I never lost weight every day, not even every week... so I cant really say Ive experienced what you have. Ive found I had to tweak and modify my eating at different points along the way in order to keep the scale moving. My guess would be that making changes is getting your body 'jump started' again. I do notice my body reacts to changes in diet and routine but I dont look at it as a stall/plateau. For example, due to a medication change my hormones went wacko and I ate like an oinker for a week.. instead of gaining the scale dropped 5lbs... just like you get bored, your body can get bored as well.. by doing something out of the ordinary or making a change can get it going again.
