any one have Dr. Pirrello?

Hi everyone, I am new to the board but have been lurking for quite some time. I have done all of the pre op work and am waiting for the surgeon to sign off for it to go to BCBS.  I had my appointment with Dr. Bauman, some how when I got there Dr. Pirrello saw me. Has anyone used Dr. Pirrello and would like to share their comments? He was very nice and really reassuring and very positive about the surgery. If I stay with Dr. P, I can have my surgery much quicker, if I wait for Dr. B then it may be at the end of Nov, first part of Dec.

Hey there! Dr. Bauman is my Dr. And I'm so glad that I have him.  I haven't heard anything about Dr. Pirrello, but I'm sure that he is also good at what he does.  If you are not comfortable with him, you may want to ask to see Dr. Bauman.   Can I ask you why you would get surgery sooner if you stay with Dr. P? 

Hi Donna, Apparently he is not booked out as far as Dr. Bauman.  It's not that I am not comfortable with him. I had done alot of research when I found Dr. Bauman and was very impresse with his credentials.

I know what you mean.   I had another Dr before Dr. B. and as I did more research I too was very impressed with Dr. B.  Good luck with whom ever you decide to go with, I'm sure that what ever choice you make will be a good one. ~Luck to you always~

I love their office staff.

I am an RN who works with both Dr. B and Dr. P, and Dr. B did my surgery -- but I would trust either to do a fantastic job.  They are both great surgeons and compassionate about their patients' care.

I adore Dr. P!!!!!!!  He did both my lap rny and my emergency strangulated hernia repair four days later.  He is amazing and I recommend him highly.  He loves what he does so much that he also works in the ER doing trauma surgery.  So when I had to go back in for the hernia, he was there about five minutes after I got there.  And he rocks.  I love him. He is awesome.  You can't go wrong with Dr. P.  He has tons of experience and actually brought a new technique to the practice that Dr. B has chosen to continue (has to do with putting the intestine behind rather than in front or vice versa) and they are having less "internal hernias" (Different from mine) - at least that's what I understand.  (I am not a doctor and I don't play one on TV).  Neither doc has had any deaths from their bariatric practice.   Um have I carried on enuf?  Seriously, you need to go with the doc you feel most comfortable with, but I do recommend Dr. P to everyone I meet.  If you have any other questions, feel free to send me a personal message.   and congrats on taking steps to improve your life!

Thanks so much. I am so happy you responded. I am so excited to move forward with this.

Dr. P and his wife had a baby last week and he emailed me on Monday when he got back. I feel great about my choice with the surgery. I have decided to go with Dr. P. I will let you know as soon as I get my date.

OMG!  I didn't know they were expecting!  They have a little boy, too.  That totally rocks!  Thanks for letting me know.  Feel free to mention my name to anyone at the practice.  For good or ill, they all pretty much know me!

Dr. Bauman is my doctor  i had a appointment with Dr. Pirrello after surgery he was very nice, He help dr bauman with my surgery i hread that he is just as good as dr bauman. you should be in good hands.
