Low Sugar, my rant for the day...Food

Yesterday my daughter, a friend and I went to the Mum festival in New Bern.  Of course it was very nice and I had had about almost 3 coffee mugs of coffee with sugar free hazelnut creamer but no food.  Why, because if I have coffee early enough and I walk around some I have to run to the potty for a good blow out of loose to very water you know.  Well I didn't want to eat anything untill we got ready to leave to come home or around lunch time if I knew there was a potty close by.  My poor daughter was the one though that ate in the morning took all her anitbiotics and allergy and cough bills, had a chili dog 2 pepsi and got sick as a dog.  The bags they gave us for stuff at the breast cancer and womans tent are leak proof as she thew up three times on the way back to Beaufort.  Now I was worried about me eating something and not feeling good cause if it isn't yogart or cottage cheese I just don't know how crappy I am going to feel.  I still have a time with most cooked protein except steamed crab meat. Until last evening though I found  my first time with Buffalow well cooked a could do it, this time .  Steak and I don't like each other anymore either.  In any event, boy am I long winded, when we were at the womans tent my friend had her sugar check and was happy it was 104.  So I let them check mine.  It took a second longer and the woman who did it looked at me and said "You need to eat something" cause your sugar is 63 and too low.  Now could this be why I have yet to ever get this burst of energy some bragg about after surgery and weight loss.  I could sleep all day and never eat yet I am a slow looser.  I only lose when I come off my Birth Control pills for that week than nothing just up and down 4 pounds till the next month.  Eating and drinking are issues and I find though that when I walk I can down some fluid without cramps.  How does protein bring up your sugar if there are hardly any carbs?  I do get some sugar, so I'm wondering was this a one time thing or is this why I always feel like I could sleep my life away.  It's not unusal for me to wait till almost noon to eat.  It's just to hard and depressing thinking of what can I have that isn't going to be an issue.  I did go get a shreaded cajun chicken pita with cheese suace, chewed, swallowed maybe a but not all of a fourth of it.  It was gross and I started cramping.  Sometimes I just through up my hands.  If I am to survive on yogart and cottage cheese for protein,  I don't have time to eat crabs except on weekends, I'd have to eat at least 9 to get the protein in for the day.  This is crazy.  I could just burie my head in the sand out back.  I don't feel like trying reciepes or cooking cause I am tired and than I have to clean up all the mess and I'd rather just sit down.  Cooking is getting to be a regular issue with me and I know my husband is not too happy but neither am I.  We both work all day yet he is home first but waits out side in the shead till I get home so I can decide or cook whatever and the last thing I want to do is look at food.  Could it all be sugar related?  Or am I just burnt.  I'll stop now.

Oh did I forget to mention this morning I was 190, than after coffee and a good dump Iwas 188, then a hour later 191.  I know stay away from the scales espically on bad days.  And my hair is falling out by the handfulls for the last 4 weeks so I got it cut.  It is very thin up front and at this rate I will bill partially bald by next week I am sure.  I did start taking bioten with my vitamins but it's probably a waste of money anyways.  On a better note I did go through my closet and drawers again and get rid of more clothing.  I am in some 12's now.  Hell thats better than a 22  a year ago.  Bear with me ladies.

Dang girl......sounds like you need to think of more protein things you do like.  Eggs?  Peanut butter? Cheese? Lunchmeat?  Yogurt and cottage cheese are pretty low....you might just have to do a protein shake once a day....add a banana or something to jazz it up.....  are you still able to call your nut.?  I also cook for my DH when I get home, and if it weren't for him having to eat, I'd probably just have a piece of cheese and a s/f popsicle and call it a night.  Congrats on your clothing loss!  You looked fab. when I met you in Jax that night, which, btw, is this week again, think I'll go, just for the company.  Nancy

Thanks for the support!  I suppose I could call him but I am sure he will tell me as he did a few months back, "Keep trying to eat and not rely on protein drinks."  They did my blood work last month but didn't say anything about my sugar then.  I'm going to try soft scramble egg in the morning.  I did stop this evening and get some of the 47 gr protein bullets.  I only siped a some of it at a time since I understand you can't asbord it all at once.  I must say the 27 is sweeter and uckier than the 27 or 24 gram bullets.  I also made myself drink a soy protein powder drink tonight with some left over coffee..  I'm really going to try to push my protein this week.  Now let me get this right we measure protein by size not weight right?  Like using the little medicine cups like we did at first.  I might try to make the meeting again this week also.

Crab sounds really good!!   Sorry you had such a "iffy" time at the festival.  It really does suck when you go somewhere and get sick.   Keep your chin up and keep perservering.  We all have those down times and we just have to pray that it gets better.  :)
