2 days left-- Surgery on Thursday!
All I can say is I can hardly believe it. I've dreamed and thought of this day a lot over the past few months and it's ALMOST here-- Thursday is my day! I have done everything they have asked me to do-- lost some weight, gone off my meds, not taken any OTC medications and now I'm just waiting for Thursday. Today is my last day at work-- thankfully- and I'm just trying to make it to 5pm. I think I told you ladies that I have Rhematoid Arthritis-- well it's REALLY bad right now. Today makes three weeks that I've been off my RA medicine-Enbrel- b/c it can lead to infection. They recommend 2 weeks, but I went off of it for 3 weeks just to make sure. It is REALLY showing though. I can't bend all of my fingers which makes typing hard-- My hands are swollen so bad I can't get my rings on and I hurt ALL over. Some of the people here at work have told me to go home but I'm going to try to make it to the end of the day. I have so many things I need to do and look at what I'm doing-- posting on OH! *hehe* Anyway, I ask for your prayers starting now through Thursday. Please pray that I'm able to "function" for the next few days and that my arthritis pains will subside a little. Ofcourse the obvious prayers for Thursday. It hit me last night that I'm really having surgery in a few days. I got a little scared. From reading your posts and profiles it seems that it is perfectly normal. I know I'm making the right decision. I just have to get to the other side. Ellen is my Angel -- Thanks Ellen! So she will let you all know how I do after surgery. I pray things go well and it is such an inspiration knowing so many of you have already gone through this and done fine. I hope the same holds true for me.
Thanks again for all of your support!

Your concerns are so normal ... I'd be a little worried about someone who didn't have any. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. Ellen will be watching over you and is a great Angel to have in your corner.
Looking forward to hearing that you've come through an uncomplicated surgery and are recovering comfortably.
