OT: The supply closet!

this is a email that I sent out to my office yesterday.. After I sent it and read it again I laughed my @$$ off, I mean hell I know I am funny but this is just too much... I hope it will make you laugh too, I swear I think I work with a bunch of children sometimes!   Good Monday morning to all of my fellow Field Development Folks!  I hope your weekend was lovely.   This morning when I came in I noticed the supply closet was in need of some serious purging to say the least.   So I cleaned it out, now you can actually find what you are looking for.  Please try to keep the closet semi-straight and free of clutter.  Also, please do not dispose of your used up chewed pens in the pen box...  that is really nasty, if you don't want them, then throw them away, no one wants your chewed pen from 1996.  Same goes for anything that you don't want any longer, i.e. rolodexs, or used file folders.....   unless you know a specific person who wants it, toss it.  Thanks for yalls help! ~misslaura  then my boss sends me a reply saying:  

Good job Laura, I actually have a chewed pen top collection from the mid to late 90's, so I would appreciate any chewed pen tops from that era. he's a nut!!

This is funny. I think this is true at every company.  They force you to recycle and downsize because they are trying to save money then you have ablack hole filled wiht junk. When I quit my job in august my coworker was like thorw it out, everything, folders, pens, supplies, etc.  I was going to put in recycling and she was like get rid of the clutter.  She's right though. Ofcourse, she took the good stuff, the screen cover and foot rest I had.  I do miss working though and access to a fax machine.

I'm pretty sure that after GBS, you dump on pens.

This is silly I know...  but I wish they would have downsized pens in my department instead of me...    Outsource...Offshore...downsize...   Yep...  to India..       ::sigh:: Connie
