Gall bladder symptoms...

Is anyone awake yet?   I've been having a terrible pain for the past 3 hours and I'm wondering if it may be my Gall Bladder.  I have an appointment with my WLS doc tomorrow morning but I'm having bad pain today.  The pain is right below my ribcage more to the right then center and it's pretty intense.  I've been having cramping type pains off and on for the past 6 months and went to him about that pain but they didn't find anything wrong at the time.  I haven't eaten anything different than usual...   I almost feel like going to the ER but I have an interview at 2:30pm today and if it is my Gall Bladder I don't want them to do surgery and me miss my interview...  The job is worth it.   Thanks!

OF COURSE I"M AWAKE......lol.  Sounds like you've diagnosed your problem.  How dong does the pain last?  What have you eaten prior?  Do you run a temp?  You can put off this one, but it will only get worse if that's what it is.  You dont want to wait untill one of the possible stones get caught!  I would go to ER as soon as I get off, if you need any type of ride, call me dangit...I mean it.  This is not funny Sheryl......get it checked.  If it gets too bad, call 911, lol.  Seriously, you don't want to put it off, better to get it checked.  Now, what job are you interviewing for?  Mine? lol NOT.  Will be wondering about you.... Love, Nanc ps-  you just want to be like your sister!

Nancy, See...  I'm afraid of that!  My Brother just had his Gall Bladder removed 2 weeks ago!!  I don't want to go to the ER... I'm stomping my feet!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Last thing I ate tonight was a string cheese, prior to that was part of a protein bar.  Nothing out of the norm...  I don't have a fever, the pain has lasted this time about 4 hours so far, but it's bad.  Usually it's just a few minutes then it's gone.  If this continues I will go to the ER...  I WILL NOT CALL 911...  lmao!  I'd rather wait until after my interview... lol!  I will call you or Mom, Dad, Sister, Brother, Aunts, Uncles or Cousins if I need a ride - LOL... I have plenty of family around here.  Interview... what interview??? The job would be an advancement.  Oh... wait... I want your job!!!!!!!!!!!  LOL!!!  I'll keep you posted!   Keep me in your prayers please!  For both the job and this pain!   Talk with you later!

she's right, it's not good to put it off. i had gallbladder problems all thru out my pregnancy with my son 11 yrs ago. got so bad that 2 weeks before he was born i was put in the hospital because i was throwing up blood. but, after that last episode, i felt better. like it had just went away. still, i was scheduled to have it removed 7 weeks after he was born. i almost didn't do it because i wasn't having any symptoms or pain anymore. good thing i did tho. when i woke up, my mom told me that the dr had told her that it had gotten to the point where a stone was actually blocking the passage and my gallbladder was starting to shrivel up and would have gotten gangrene soon.

Hi Sheryl -

Sure sounds like it's your gall bladder. I hope that you're already seeing your Dr. as I write this. I look forward to hearing that all is well.
