QUESTIONS FOR THE LADIES

hELLO EVERYONE.....THIS IS A QUESTION FOR THE WOMEN HERE ON THE FORUM. i WAS JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE ELSE HAD HAS THE PROBLEM. tE MONTH OAFTER MY SURGERY I STOPED HAVING MY PERIOD....OF COURSE I WENT RIGHT TO THE DOCTOR TO MAKE SURE THAT WE WERE NOT PREGNANT. AND WE WERE NOT. I WAS TOLD THAT THIS COULD HAPPEN BECAUSE OF THE WEIGHT LOSS. WE ARE BEING SAFE  BECAUSE WE DON'T WANT TO HAVE A BABY RIGHT NOW......HAD MY SURGERY FEB 10...AND HAD A PERION A3 DAYS  AFTER MY SURGERY AND HAD ANOTHER  PERIOD IN MARCH. THEN  I STOPED HAVING MY PERIODS.  BUT LIKE I SAID I WAS JUST WONDERIG IF ANYONE HAS  HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS AS MYSELF.  ....THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO LISTEN EVEYONE. I have known that we women start having hormonal issues after surgery.  My doctor recommended the patch.  Check with your doctor and have your levels checked. Paula

     I had my surgery on July 2 and had one period in July and haven't had one since so I am in kind of the same boat as you. This last week I had cramps but no period. I am not sure if I will go as long as you have or not. That is a long time. I was thinking I am peri-menopausal. I am 44 but am not sure if that is the reason or just a side effect of the surgery or maybe even a combination of the two things. It's kind of crazy cause most people who weren't regular become regular after surgery. Perhaps our bodies will adjust eventually or I'd be just as happy to never have another period forever since I am past baby making age...lol.
