Has anyone ever had that "stuck" feeling?  Like there is something stuck in your esophagus and it wont budge?  I have felt like that since a vomiting episode last night.   Any suggestions?

Jennifer, I have definitely experienced the "stuck" feeling before.  Usually it is so uncomfortable that I have to lie down and rest.  Usually it goes away in a couple of hours for me.  Because it has felt like this since last night, I might would check in with my doctor and get their thoughts. Hope you are feeling better soon!

I hate that something is "stuck" this morning Jennifer.  I am pre-op so I know my days of this are coming.  Thanks Candice also for the explanation.  I appreciate the education that all of you bring.   Feel better Jennifer.  Thanks ya'll.  Happy Monday! Connie

I experience "stuck" quite frequently and have become some-what of a pro at it.  Usually it's because I'm being a piggie and forget to go slow, or forget to chew 50 zillion times.  My remedy when I'm stuck is to drink water, this 99% of the time, brings it up, and I immediately feel better.   Nancy

Thanks Nancy..  I have chewing issues too..  I just have always wolfed my food down, so that habit is hard to break.  :)  The water helped bunches!  Thanks!!

I definately get stuck.  When I do it is miserable.  I will drink some water, feel it going down my esophagus, make a U-turn where I am plugged up, and come back up to the back of my throat.  At that point I can throw up the clog. Sorry, but that is all that works for me.  Gross ... and disgusting, but over quickly and the pain is gone. Hugs, Diane
