Need a kick in the seat...
Hi all. I am struggling lately. I have had much success, but with the rest of my life such a mess, I'm having a hard time maintaining my regimen that worked for the first six months. I can't seem to muster the energy to exercise more than once or twice a week. I am making bad choices when I eat and eating out way more than is healthy. I guess I need some encouragement and reminders of what I should be doing.
Sorry to dump on you all. I'm just frustrated with myself.

I think you are beautiful and doing AMAZING!! Just try to take one more tiny little walk..it all adds up and helps. Don't worry about tomorrow....focus on each day...and don't be too hard on yourself. You have realized that you need to make better choices and you will get back on track. We all have days or weeks like this. You are still on the upside of GREAT...even on your worst day!!!!!!

Thanks for the encouragement Sarah. I know I need to make better choices, what scares me is that I knew that when I weighed 425 pounds. This will pass, I'm just overwhelmed right now with my health, my family situation, and my classes only a week away from finals. It's times like these when I run to my comforter, food. I need to develop better coping skills.

Re-training ourselves to have better habbits and coping skills will take time.....remember you now have this wonderful tool to help you...even when things get tough.....you didn't have that when you were 425lbs...you also have so much support and people who care about you...I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we are here when you need us!! You can call me any time!!
Ellen, sounds like you need some online ((((HUGS)))). Can't remember the exact quote, but it's something like this... you have to go through the valley to get to the mountain top! YOu can do it, just keep looking at your before photos and look how far you have come. You are one of my new role models and I need you to be my angel soon! So, let me know if you want to go walk or need someone to talk to! Hang in there, it will get better. Alice

You have no idea how much I needed a hug, online or otherwise. Thanks Alice. I'm not feeling like much of a role model today, but I appreciate the kindness. I'd love to be your angel, we'll need to exchange some contact information when we get a little closer.
I'd love a walking partner. Maybe some evening or weekend? I'm going to Durham this Saturday for the hike Diane is doing, but I'm usually free at least part of each day.

I'm sending you a big hug, I'm sorry you're going through all this! I know it's frustrating right now but this will pass. You know you can come to us with anything. Sometimes it's hard to get out of bed in the morning and get going on a positive note, don't beat yourself up for it. Do the best you can, take one day at a time (or one hour at a time if you have to). You know you'll feel better if you get out and do some excersizing, I have to force myself sometimes too.
Take care of yourself and remember we're a family and we care about you!!!
