One Small step for UHC/One Giant leap for ME!!!
Hi Reenie,
Congrats. My computer has been down so I'm just getting a chance to check up.
It's still 100 degrees down here at the beach. Tell DH you want to come back to reccoperate.
Don't forget to use your short term disability - you have to be out 8 days and they will pay 100% of your salary - don't let the dr's talk you into using vacation and going back in a week, it's just too soon.
I love, love, love, our (my former) employer's UHC. I really think it was top notch insurance nad plan. I have BCBSNC now and I don't like it. They don't even want to pay for my nexium and I need that to prevent gastric bypass ulcers because of hte complications i Had. I miss my UHC.
I was approved in 4 days - I do know that the employer writes the plan and UHC administers so if WLS isn't covered it's at the employers disgression not UHC.
I cannot wait to hear that you have a date and when. Good luck with everything.
Jenn
Thanks Jenn, I was suprise that it only took 2 days. I was hoping the Dr.'s office would call today but, I will get my letter from UHC before they do. I called and gave them my ref. # on Friday. Since we do not mail mail today I will get the letter tommorrow and fax it to them.
My boss e-mail me and said they all ready put in for STD, so when I find a date, they will give me back my PTO and I can carry it over to next year. Since I lift alot of coin boxes and on my feet all the time, I heard Dr. K will keep you out for 4-6 wks. to be healed up that you don't pull anything apart.
Does everyone need Nexium after WLS?
I'll keep you informed.
Reenie
Reenie -
I've been out of town and out of the loop. I was scouring the board to see if you had heard yet. I'm delighted for you. Congratulations dear.
