I had a consult with Dr Nazari a couple years ago, hes a very experienced doctor. He told me I DIDNT need the surgery my doc sent me to him for - and he was right! He's very ethical and could have opened me up and made his money, but did not.

I had gallbladder surgery in 1999 and lemme tell you - it was a BREEZE. It was outpatient, I was home in hours. I slept the first day, was up and around the 2nd and only took 2 of my pain meds. You will feel SO much better, it was a huge relief from the pain of my gallbladder issues. Please don't worry too much about it, you'll do great!

Brittany,  I haven't had gallbladder surgery but have been going through some tests myself, possibly gallbladder - ugh!  Anyway, I just want to wish you the best of luck.  I have heard a lot of positive things about Dr. Nazari so I'm sure you're in good hands!   I pray you have an easy surgery and heal quickly! Take care!

i had my gallbladder out 11 yrs ago. it was done lap. the biggest prob i had afterwards was the normal stomach pain. was in the hospital one night i believe and was up and walking pretty soon after the surgery. the sooner you move and the more you move, the quicker you'll recover.

I had my RNY in March 2006, with no problems!!!!!  In July of this year my gallbladder had to be removed due to pain ,,,, I feel like a new woman after having it removed. I have had many surgerys, foot, back etc... the gallbladder surgery was a little harder than I thought it would be, I did have pain more so than with my RNY, but my gallbladder was really bad. Don't worry about it, it will be worth having it removed if it is making you ill. Good Luck

My sister had her gallbladder removed on a Friday and was back to work on Monday.  She said it was a breeze.  Good luck!

I had my gallbladder out laparoscopically 13 years ago. It was similar to having the RNY for me. I was out of work for several weeks, but I was also nursing a newborn.

I'm sure that it will be fine.

All the best,

Barb
