I freaking did it
Congratulations on gaining some weight Amy Jo. I, like many others, have been quite worried about you. It's so easy to get caught into the trap of worrying about our weight, whether it's being too big, like I did at 425, or too small like you were at 95. I think the best thing you can do for yourself right now is to totally stop worrying about what you weigh. Concentrate on making healthy choices, and not just with eating. Pick foods that are good for you, exercise, drink lots of water, and take your vitamins. Have one of your kids hide the scale. You can tell whether you're gaining or losing based on how your clothes fit. If you are making positive, healthy decisions, your weight will not go above what is healthy for you.
You sound so happy and I know you are thrilled that you accomplished your goal, as we are for you. You deserve to be happy and healthy. Please continue to make good choices that will benefit not only you, but your beautiful children.
Take care.
Ellen
I have been on both ends of the scales. High and low. Felt good when I was high on the scale. Felt like dying on the low side. I just don't know what was wrong with me. I think when I first had gbs. I lost one pound the another and the so on and so on. When I reached goal, I still thought just one more pound will not hurt. Well it did. I was just so excited to loose weight that I couldn't stop. Until I got down so low I couldn't go. And with my kids help. I know I gotta and will do better. Just gotta know when to much is to much. Thanks for every thing. Have a nice weekend.

Amen, sistah!!!
Good for you. I've been hoping you'd find your way back to the board. I am thrilled that you are feeling so good. I hope, this time, you find the support you need here. We are rooting for you and your kids should be so proud of their mama.
I am!

PS - Did Nancy say "donut?"
Yummmm...LOL

Amy,
That was a wonderful gift you gave yourself and your children. I want to commend you and encourage you to continue on this path. What I would suggest is aiming for what your doctor and/or your therapist and/or nutritionist agree would be a healthy weight for you and shoot for that. Sometimes we are not the best qualified to make these assessments.
I am delighted to hear you sounding so good. This will be a lifestyle change (eating healthy), a process, not an event. We are all learning how to live all over again, this time incorporating healthy choices. We cannot slack off on that commitment to healthy living unless we want to run the risk of sinking back into that black hole we were in.
Please keep us posted.
All the best,
