My cat as been at it again. Tink caught another baby squirrel. The squirrel I had soon after my surgery was extremly young. That squirrel did not make it. This squirrel has lots of fur and I figure he is about a month or more in age. I am hoping for the best and I am just smiling holding this little boy on my hands.                                     Annie

Yup!  Annie is on a mission!  Keep us posted! What did you think of my boy Satchmo, Annie?

I thought your boy was a sweetheart a faithful compainon. I may need to take you up on the goats milk we talked about. I offered him some formula but I think he was to scarred to take any but for now he is in a little hamock in a habitat we used for Balicks and Lee put it in the kitchen. Thank goodness we still have a huge bag of aspen shavings and while we were settin up the habitat and putting shavings in we found a large collection of nuts that Balicks hid in the shavings. When I come across a nut I smile to myself and my squirrel group calls them love notes.                                    Annie

That is SO sweet!  He will likely take the formula after he settles down a bit and gets hungrier.  Right now he is pretty shaken up.  Also they have a harder time adjusting to a different feeding method once they are used to Mama's milk. (I do love my Satchmo and he is a faithful love.)

Annie -

I look forward to hearing of your new little one. I'm sure that you'll nurse to a healthy status before releasing him to the wild again. I'll bet he'll always stay near, just like Balicks.

Enjoy!

Hi Annie, You are an amazing loving person taking care of God's creatures as you do!  As I type here now my little puggle, Larry, is sleeping at my feet.  He is a great dog, but a bit rambunctious at times.  He gets excited and runs all over the place jumping from here to there.  He likes to sit on my head.  He's a nipper and the more I tell him No!  ... the more he nips and barks at my pointed finger.  Other than that he is profoundly obedient.  He was in his excited mode when he saw Max (my renter) yesterday and leap for him and nipped him in the privates.  It was priceless.  All I could say was, Good Boy Larry!  We got a huge laugh off that one.  Max says he missed, but it didn't look that way to me. Gotta love our pets, Blessings, Diane

Awwww.  I love animals.  I have never held a squirrel.  I love baby animals too.  I think they are so cute.  I hope this one is old enough that you can save it.  Good luck!
