OK Taryn, here's the deal on the liquids, straight from Dr Harris and the NUT Allison: ANY liquids you drink, including your protein shakes, soups, Crystal Lite, etc.: they all count towards your total daily fluid consumption. So if you are drinking 30 ounces of Crystal Lite a day, plus 8 ounces of water, plus two 8 ounce shakes, you are getting in a total of 54 ounces of fluids/water and that is fine. They recommend 48-64 ounces of fluids per day so if you can't yet make the 64 that is ok as long as you are feeling ok. Just keep sipping all the time and you will see yourself gradually increasing! The first week or so is about adjustment. Dr Harris doesn't expect you to be able to get in 64 ounces the first week.
That is WONDERFUL that you are managing to get in the protein requirements already. That will help you a lot in your recovery!

Thank you Suzanne... I'm home free then... I guess me getting tired and dizzy a little is from the anthesia(sp?) well I'm doing much better than I thought I was... and Barb I like that shoes myself.. Wish I could walk in some.. flat feet here.. no pumps for me....
But who knows...new body..new image.. RIGHT!!!! same great attitude though
