((((Sheila))))  Congratulations on all your success! What a wonderful Wow moment.  Your testimony says it all!  At our last UNC Chapel Hill support meeting I expressed pretty much the same gratitude to my surgeon and his staff.  Their response was unanimous with, "And that is the reason we are in this business." They know and that is why they do it.  I told them I could never thank them enough for this blessing and I publically thanked each of them while a group of "prospective" or hopeful WLS patients listened. Then when it got real quiet I added just for fun, "And Memorial has the best looking male nurses EVER!"  Everyone laughed as I turned around to face the staff again, Dr. Overby was standing there with his hands out as if to say "What about me?"  And I quickly faced the crowd again and added, "oh yes, and DOCTOR'S  too!"  Got a good laugh out of that one! Many many more blessings on all your success Sheila.  You are an inspiration to us all! Diane

Thanks ladies for all your kind words and encouragement- I wish you could have been in the dressing room to share my excitement!  And- yes- I bought 2 size 10 skirts and 2 capris! Now my tops are mediums- previously XL or XXL! Sheila

Sheila, Thanks for the food diary. It's hard right now to even imagine what I'll be eating once my surgery is in the past and I can eat solids again. Your daily choices sound delicious and show me that it IS possible to get all the daily protein in that's needed to keep healthy. Also, I really don't want to experience the hair loss thing so I'm hoping that by eating my protein and taking Biotin I can avoid that whole scene. Thanks again for all the info and congratulations on your successes! DEBBIE

Sheila -

WoW! I can only imagine what I might feel like to actually wear a size 10. I went sailing past that when I was a sophmore in high school. Actually was wearing that size when I met my husband, but honestly it was one of the many bounces that never held. I know that this will hold for you, of course until you hit a size 8!

You are truly an inspiration to me.

Thanks for sharing, you and Candice have made my day!
