Im home and still alive LOL

Hey everyone~
Surgery went good but the second day I was nauseted and felt like crap from that Morphine pump. I was so sick I wanted to die and yes I had anti nausua meds in my iv I spent the day trying to relax between throwing up the wonderful barium. The leak test went good and my husband got to go in the booth with the techs and watch it. He said it was the neatest thing he had ever seen LOL The night staff at Pitt is AWESOME... the day staff.. all I have to say is if you hate your job then you might as well try looking for something that wont have you rolling your eyes, being rude, being snappy and creating lots and lots of tension.

I only have a tiny bit of pain in the upper left quadrant of my stomach. Otherwise I am pain free..just very tired but Im walking like my Doctor wants.

I want to thank Nancy who came all the way from Jville to come and visit me.. I love my ballon and love how it was tied to a yummy bottle of Isopure LOL everyone that saw that thought that was sooooooooo cool!!!!

I want to thank Ellen and Alice for visiting me!! Im sorry I was not very *****y but I was sick to my stomach thank you Ellen for the beautiful rose plant. I also want to let everyone know that Ellens avatar does her NO JUSTICE... she should be doing the main ads for Avenue and Lane Bryant and then move onto modeling for Macys or Talbots. You are a super sweet woman Ellen and absolutly beautiful.

Alice thank you so much for brighting my day with the copies of everyones well wishes on the boards. It made me feel wonderful to see all my NC sisters posts its YOUR TURN NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!

The pouch LOL... I never knew I would have a alien in my body rumbling and grumbling so far the pouch is being good and has not gotten ill off anything. Im not going to sit here and deny the fact that I cant wait to eat some real food. This stage one liquid diet is about to kill me and Im only on day two. Hubby made me some SF black cherry jello and it was really great. Im getting sick of shakes and popsicles and broth. I got a really cool cup from the hospital that shows how much water Im taking in. Well for me its crystal lite because I cant stand plain water. Im doing pretty good but I know I need more and maybe It will also make me feel more full. Ive experienced the strangest gas Ive ever had in my life LOL I sound like a truck driver that has drank a six pack of cheap beer (BURP!!!) and it just comes on at any moment with no warning.

Ill stop rambling now.... again thank you everyone for your kind emails, notes, phone calls and visits.. it means the world to me.

Glad to hear from you Darcie.  I know it was great to get home in your own environment.  Sorry the day nurses were butts, but I know from my experience you get all kinds.  I love reading your post because I feel like in a month I'll be experiencing the same sort of things.  I'm glad that I like water becasue I can only take so much crystal lite.  Have you tried Tropicana Orange Ade?  It comes in both 1 lt and 2 ltr bottles and is great.  No calories, no carb and no caffene.  I'm glad I found it since I was a true Diet Dew fan.    Well, rest darlin and keep up the good work.  Alice

Glad to hear you are home and doing well.  I am having my surgery Wednesday at PCMH and was very curious about the nurses after Mare said you had an awful one.  Do you remember any of their names (you can PM me)?  I want to be on the lookout because if they give me any of that attitude, they will get some back.

I'm still chuckling about Nancy and the protein powder/balloon thingy. Too funny! Let me know when you feel like visitors. We promise not to stay too long. We know you need your rest. Glad to hear everything is fine, even with nausea... I understand what you mean about the nurses, I had one that was just ugggggggggggh, all I could do was request that she not come back to room anymore, and surprisely I did not see her again during my stay.  That is pretty cool about your husband...  Take care of yourself

Soooo good to hear from you. I am sorry to hear that you had a difficult time with the staff. I know that you must be delighted to be home.

I had a hard time with the liquid diet portion of my journey as well, but this too shall pass.
