Visited Darcie

Alice (Luv2Scrap) and I visited Darcie this afternoon.  She was in pretty good spirits and looking forward to going home.  She's still tired from not sleeping last night, but it sounds like she's improving.  She looks good and her leak test went fine too, no leaks! Take care. Ellen

BTW, we looked for Linda, but she'd already headed for home.  Jean wasn't up to her room from surgery yet, so we didn't get to get an update on her.  She was just at noon today. Ellen

Ellen & Mare,  Thanks for the updates!  I have been thinking about Darcie all day!  I'm glad she passed her leak test and is on the road to recovery!!!!!!   I had a terrible time sleeping that first week, but it is all worth it as we all know!  I'm glad Linda is doing well too!!!!!!  Good news all around! luv ya!! Ellen, did you girls have to tell the fib that you were her sister like I did when I went Tuesday?  lol.  They probably wondered how I had 2 sisters in at the same time,lol.  That hospital is really nice, better than Onslow . nancy

Nope, we walked right in like we owned the place.   No one questioned us.  With the stepdown unit, you do have to go during visiting hours, good to call ahead if you don't know them.  We really like that  hospital, much nicer and more up to date than it's name would suggest . Ellen

Ellen, that was so sweet of you to visit Darcie!  Given that she was so far from home, us locals couldn't go see her!  I really appreciate the update.  I had spoken earlier with Mare and it sounded as though she was not having a good day.  Glad to see that it improved.  Thank you!

It was really nice to meet Ellen and Darcie fact-to-face.  Darcie looked great and Ellen, I really enjoyed our hallway chat.  I am learning so much from all of you guys.   Got a new book to read about the emotional side of WLS  in the mail today.   I'm heading off to bed to get in a few pages before I get some ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZs Good night all!  Alice
