Moving right along
This week is literally slammed full for me. I have all my consults and preop testing, except for the pulmonologist which is next week. I can't believe that before I know it my packet will be off to insurance and I could be talking about an actual surgery date.
I'm started to get excited.
Also...what should I expect from my Stress Echo test?
I had a stress echo a few years ago because had been on Phen-Fen two times. Anyway, from what I remember, the echo is sort of like an ultrasound and they make you walk on a treadmill and then do the echo. maybe they do the echo before and after you walk.... Hope that 's rght. Good luck! Alice

They will hook you up as though you are going to have an echo cardiogram then you get to walk on the treadmill. They will increase the speed and incline to get your heart rate up and keep it there for a bit. Then they will take you off the treadmill and use the "ultrasound" to get images of your heart as it's working hard and as you cool down.
Hope that helps.
