Well over the summer I have been going to yard sales buying clothes that I like, not what fits but like. Glad that I had because someone could go really go broke buying clothes.  So if I like it I buy it, i do not even look at the sizes, just wash them and put them in my closet. That's probably a good idea. I've been working the local GW, thrift and consignment stores. I'm only buying stuff that looks new and I like. But I have only been buying in my current size. I guess I should have more faith that I'll see that size 12 or even a 10. It's more than I can wrap my head around. At any rate, sometimes I'll see something that looks great and is too small, but so far I haven't brought myself to buy them yet. I think that I'll re-think that strategy.

Thanks for sharing Patty!

Barb

BTW ... 162! Whoooo! Hoooo!

I did keep one pair of my FAT pants to jump into whenever i get sad, it really works!!!

I can buy clothes at yard sales for 25cents to $1.00 for jeans and i can not beat those prices even, i had bought some capri's at a yard sale about 4 weeks ago size 14 tried them on, well too snugg, then this past week got out those pants again, fit perfect, saved myself so money.  I did go to Belk's they have 75% off clearence stuff, bought a pair of 14 pants for $14 and i tried them on Sunday to wear to church, well already getting too big, so i took them back at lunch today. Scrubs are a different story, have never wore draw string due to my many rolls, after spending $60 on 6 pair and only being able to wear them for a month, i am going to take them up with my sewing machine this week. But next time I am buying draw string pants.

Great job, Patty!  And thanks for updating us on your success and buying strategy.  Like Barb, I am not yet convinced that this surgery is going to work that well for me.  LOL  I still think I lost all this weight because of how sick I was after surgery!

I thought the same thing, now i have my weeks that i do not loose anything that is when i put on my original pants that i use to wear (size 20) and think " i could still be this size". After my surgery and some days i still have nausea really bad, some days i do not pick the correct foods to eat, that is when i really can tell it, fatigue or nausea.
