HERE I AM!! LOL

Peeking Over Fence  You guys crack me up! LOL OK - Here's the scoop on my first visit with Vocational Rehab.            Met with Mary @ 11:00 at the old CFCC campus in Burgaw. She said to walk in side door and she's the 2nd door on the left. Well, 2nd door on the left was the lavatory...is that a sign?? Oy!      I went across the hall to the office and told them I have an 11 o'clock with Mary in VR. *Perplexed look between the 2 ladies* "Do we have a new VR rep?" Oh boy. I thought "This can't be good."      They told me to take a seat in the hall. I was a bit uneasy that no one knew who Mary Bush was, when I was approached by a very distinguished looking woman, shaking her head and smiling, shook my hand. "I'm Mary Bush. Come with me, dear." PHEW!!!!       She apologized for the mix up and, thankfully, had overheard me asking the 2 "perplexed" women where I may find her. She explained that she usually works out of the Wilmington campus and the woman who is usually in Burgaw was "no longer with them."      I was immediately very comfortable with her. We chatted casually for a while, then it was all business. Basically she took all my information about my situation, history of obesity related illness, complications, etc. I brought some medical records with me, which she copied, along with my denial letter from UHC, along with the appeal denial letter from UHC. She was going to fax, not mail, my stuff to the person who will work with me on my case so I could save a few daze that way. (Thank you, Mary!)  She was sending over a letter to my PCP and Dr. Harris' office requesting all my records in their possession as well, to submit with other paperwork. I had gone to my PCP's office the other day to fill out a form to release my most recent records to me...the lovely hernia mess, abdominal CT scan, BPs, updated sleep study where they increased my pressure 2 more points on my pappy, etc. She said sometimes if they request them they act much quicker. I'm all for that, lady!!      When I got home I placed a call to Vicky @ Dr. Harris' office...she's the one who told me about VR...to give her a heads up that there would be a letter coming to their office requesting my documents and I wanted HER to be on the lookout for them, as we all know we can't count on "S" to follow through!      So, now I wait...some more. *sigh* Once my case worker gets those records, he will call me for another meeting with him to interview me and review everything.       So, there it is, folks! Mary seemed optomistic about it so I will remain so, until I'm not anymore. LOL      Thanks for keeping an eye out for me, my friends. I appreciate you all cheering me on. WHOO HOO!! xoxo Mare        Double Kiss
