Update :)

After DAYS of calling and leaving messages for my bariatric cordinator Rhonda, she finally called me back. I told her I passed my Pysche Eval and asked her what next. She finally told me all the tests that I have to do so I can get appointments for them all. Then she started tellin me about how the "program" isn't the way she wanted it to be and how she's been told by other clients that she's not doin her job and how it's all her fault. I was thinkin "Why is she goin off on me? I barely call her." Apparently somebody made her mad. I let her rant and rave her about 15 minutes then after she was done I told her about how I'm havin to drive everywhere for my appointments but I don't mind. Just as long as I get them done. She told me that if Carteret General Hopsital is on my "network" for my insurance company, that we could book ALL the rest of my appointments there and get them done all in the same day. I was so excited and happy to hear about that. I felt like this was gonna take forever and that it was impossible to get all my testing done within six months. But there's hope! I'll be callin my insurance company tomorrow and askin about the hospital. I hope they're in the network.  Sorry about the long...long... update. Shelly

I want to say WOOHOO for you!!! and the rest of your post all I have to say is when your paid to do a job like ANSWER the phone and ANSWER emails and communicate properly its best to DO YOUR JOB instead of COMPLAIN to patients!!!! How unproffesional of her to complain to you about other patients complaining about her!! I dont think people are just making stuff up and I for one documented it all so I have proof of what happened. Remember when I met you Shelly?? WHO didn show up for their own meeting? second time in a row thats happened!!! Rhonda failed me in many ways including trying to pass me off to another doctor so she would not have to deal with me. Southern Surgical says they get many, many complaints about her and to make sure you let your doctor know and also write up a letter to the office manager Ann. I was lied to by Rhonda and she almost messed up my Pre Op appointment because she told me that Ann had my chart when in fact Ann did not. My documents were not faxed over like I was told they would be ect ect. Keep on top of things girl... I wish you the best in getting all of it done so you can get to the office and just deal with them!! oh ya get a copy of EVERYTHING you do and keep it in one folder. Do NOT trust her to keep track of it all. When I went to preop if I had not had all my paperwork together I would of had a wasted trip to Greenville and would of had to come back because she faxed over two things out of that entire list and I had to call the office and play voicemail tag trying to find out where my chart was because the office had nothing on me like I was told they did!

Go Get Em Darcie this is the way to do it!!!! You are so right about getting copies of everything. They may tell you one thing but if you have all the documentation then find out they did not send this or that you have what they need and can get it faxed over instead of waiting.                                     Annie

Darcie,             I talked to Rhonda again today. I had to call her back and tell her that Cateret General Hospital is on my insurance network. Woo hoo! about that! She scheduled all but two tests for me..all for the same day. I fortunately have not had any bad run-ins with Rhonda and I'm really likin her right now since she set those appointments up for me. I told her that some of her patients are on this website (not tattle tellin or anything. just sayin that we're supportin each other through all of this). She told me today that she read some of our messages. I was embarrassed about mine. I didn't care that she was rantin and ravin at me. I just didn't realized all the drama that was goin down at Southern Surgical and with Rhonda. She did tell me that she's glad that you put ur foot down cuz now some of the big cheeses are helpin Rhonda get more things that she needs at the office and other stuff. But...! I'm just glad I'm gettin all my appointments done at once. All I got left after I do that big bunch on Oct. 10th is my Nut. and the EGB thingy. I've gotta manilla folder with all my biartric stuff in it. I do make copies of everything. Just in case. If I'm goin to all this trouble with travelin and what not, I'm definately takin extra precautions. :)

Im glad she is doing her job and not trying to make you go to Greenville so they can make extra money off your insurance company. Im glad shes reading our messages because youi know what? This is a free country and Im not going to sit here and be scared and not say anything just because shes *in charge* of you. .

I want to make sure that patients behind me get BETTER treatment then I did. My family doctors office staff went round and round trying to get her to DO HER JOB and fax the CORRECT documents when all the testing started and she made up all these excuses and was a total rude (insert word here LOL) to me in her emails. I mean who does she think she is telling me to go to another surgeon just because she is SLACK and I stayed right on top of her till I got the testing scheduled? which by the way I did by myself. She flat out lied to me on the phone and tried to bs her way out of it with some excuse about her fax machine when in fact she told me a week earlier my chart had been picked up by the office manager TOTAL LIE. I hate liars and I hate drama. Thanks for letting me know that you were talking to her about me behind my back, that just gives me a warm fuzzy feeling all over.

What the hell? I wasn't talkin about you to her behind her back. Rhonda was sayin how you were really upset with her about how you wrote letters to the company about her. I didn't bring you up at all. I was just listenin to what she had to say. I wouldn't gossip about you behind your back. Sorry you think of me as that type of person. Shelly, after all the negativity on this board I'm sure you have read, I sure wouldn't want to be the one to tell the girl to come on here and see it.  I'm just glad that I don't use So. Surg for fear that she would see any negative comments I had said and maybe use it against me.  That's my feeling, but oh well, guess it's good things are happening with you-one way or another.  Good luck,  nancy

I never invited her to come and check out the website. I was tellin her about how I supposedly have a great support system on this website. She was the one that invited herself to her the message board. I do feel like I brung that upon myself but I didn't say it to make her come on here and read the stuff. I guess I didn't think that she'd come on her and read the messages.
