Oh Joy...

Yesterday at school around 2 pm I noticed a weird sensation.  I felt like I had to pee... but could not pee at all.  I kept thinking that it might be a UTI because I am prone to those and always have been.  Well..  it would bother me and pass... bother and pass... you get the picture.  I went to pick up Kaleigh @ 4pm and chatted with her teacher for a while.  Same thing.   I honestly felt like I was going to wet my pants.  Got Kaleigh, went to the bathroom... no pee.   I came home and Dean and I discussed the situation.  Called Mama who told me to go to the hospital.  I was not in pain, but about 30 minutes later the pain started.  Honestly, the pain was worse than the labor pains I had with Taylor.  We decided to go to the hospital around 6pm.  I knew before I left that I most likely had a kidney stone.  I have had one before.  They gave me a CT Scan, started and IV and shot me up with pain meds.  The doctor came in the room and said he had good news and bad news... The stone last night had already gotten to my bladder, so it was on it's way out.  The bad news is that I have another one in my kidneys.  Joy.  Who knows when that apple will fall.  Anyway..  I got home around 9pm all doped up on pain meds and slept like a rock.  Got up this morning and peed out the stone.  It was in pieces, but it was not big at all... maybe the size of a small bead when it was all together.   Anyway.. I feel like I have been ran over by a truck.  And I can look forward to this all over again.

(((Jennifer)))) I am so sorry that you are not feeling well.  I've been blessed to never have had a kidney stone, but I have heard that they are extremely horribly painful!  Is there any medicine that you can take to break up the other stone?  I will pray for the Lord to break up that other stone in your kidney.  Drink lots of water. Love ya, Dianef

So sorry you had to go through that and have another one in the wings. My son passed one on Monday night. He has them pretty often. I hope the second one behaves for a while so  you can get your strength back. Beth

I am sorry to hear that.  Atleast you passed that one.  I have never had a kidney stone.  I have heard that they hurt bad.  I hope you get better!  Take care of yourself!

Hi Jennifer -

I'm so sorry that you've had a so much difficulty. I hope that the other stone passes without as much pain or at least with some pain meds.

Keeping you in thought and prayer.

Barb
