Congrats on getting submitted! That's a milestone in itself. I would suggest relaxing and not worrying but remembering  how excruitiating the wait was for me, that seems like a crazy suggestion! Mine took about 2 weeks but I had different insurance.

It's a good sign if others in your company have been approved. It's hard for them to not be consistent unless there is a real blanant reason to deny.

Wishing you the fastest approval possible,

Karen

My insurance quoted 30 days, but, in reality it only took 10 days.   I am with MedCost.   I bet you it won't take that long.   You are on the home stretch now!! Hope you hear from them soon!! Caroline

It will be great if it only takes 10 days. I go on vacation on Saturday and maybe I will have an answer when I get back.

Hey Maureen, Congratulations that your are finally submitted - no more jumping through hoops. I agree with the others, I think the insurance companies and Dr K's office quote you the longest possible date (probably to keep us from calling every day - LOL).  The theory is probably that  they would much rather please you with a call early, than deal with you furious when it takes longer than quoted. Good Luck!  Spend this time getting yourself ready.  Once you get approval and the date, it seems like time really flies.

I have talked to Lisa. She seems real nice. I also heard you talk about Connie Simms. Should I contact  her also? Does she put all the paper work  together since she is the Program Director?

YAY Maureen!  I am so glad your paperwork has been submitted!!!   My insurance was lightening quick.. but that is an abnormality.  :)  From my old life in insurance, 30 days sounds reasonable.  :)  GOOD LUCK GIRL!!!

Yes, I am getting excited and nervous. I'll be at wits end til I hear something. I will be taking the computer with me on Vacation to get updates.

I had UHC and when I was told I was submitted I called the insureance company 2 days later and I was approved. :) I work w/ UHC daily and it normally doesn't take that long at all to get it back. If you call it in it's normally w/ 2 weeks if they submit the internet it's about week. :)

Good Luck!!!!

Thanks for the encouraging words. Since you work with UHC daily, you should know.
