Cynthia, I too have first hand experience from where you are coming from and I totally agree with everything you have said on our forum.  I am from the deep BIBLE BELT south.  Can't get more southern than me from what I have been told.  But people who have not had a addiction problem and had to go to meetings  will NEVER grasp your concept!!!!!  Yeah the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem and Amy has done that.  Just wipe your hands clean and let GOD handle it.  That is all we can do.  From what my counsler said (about my ex-husband) "YOU CAN NOT HELP SOMEONE *****ALLY DOESN'T WANT TO BE HELPED"   Not saying that she doesn't want help.....  Just that on here is not the type of help she needs to aquire. To those who do not agree with what I have said DO NOT respond with negativity!!!!  It will not be accepted.....

Thank you, Dl....And I agree.  You can not help someone *****ally doesn't want to be helped.   I just had to give it a good try.  Again, I am very afraid for Amy.  And I just want her to live, and have a good life.  Thank you for seeing my true meanings.  You are a kind and inteligent woman. But I will respect your advice, and not write to Amy....on this post....anymore.  (Hey...I'm a woman..I reserve the right to change my mind and write to her on other posts if I can give her any support and advice).   And I don't care how the info reaches my eyes.  God must of put it there!

Hey Cynthia, You are very welcome.  I'm glad we see eye to eye on this.    OH is a freedom to all.  That includes NC forum.  Feel free to come in and chat when ever.  If the only addition others have had was food then they will never be able to undersand what we do.  Remember that for me ok.  And thank you again.  Feel free to PM me when ever you'd like. Dana

Thank you Dana.  You are a true sweetheart.  Now you better pretend you don't know me...or some of the NC bullies may start picking on you for even associating with me.  hang tough!  And yes, I have been a member of OH for 6 years now.  It  is true I have been in other weight loss websites, and have only recently been coming back around here.  I am not sneaky, dishonest, or trying to cause harm.  And certainly not a "hunter"!  LOL!  Wow...some over-active imaginations are pretty startling to come across. PS - Sorry about my spelling errors.  I don't know what happened to the spell check, and my google doesn't work with this site for some reason.  So I have to wing it.

I'm pleased to meet you!  I'm Cynthia, and I was born in Ohio.  A true Blue....err...make that Scarlet and Grey.... Buckeye.  But then my hipppy parents moved out to the Bay Area in 1966 when I was 3 years old.  And I have lived here ever since (Well pretty much...but I would have to write a book to get it all down.) Anyway,  Thank you to you and many others who wrote PMs in support of my comments.  And if your ever in the Bay Area and want a local tour guide...just let me know.  I love showing people around this beauiful city.

Dana, I just need to know what you mean by this statement... "To those who do not agree with what I have said DO NOT respond with negativity!!!!  It will not be accepted....." My intreptation of that statement is that YOU do not want anyone to respond to you UNLESS they agree with YOU.  Is that possibly correct?    A negative response would mean that they did not accept your response, right?  Isn't this board suppose to foster many differing opinions?  Are you that closed-minded that you think that your opinion is the only right one?  YIKES!! For what it's worth... I think that Amy has conflicting views about herself.  Reading her blog, it's clear that she knows she is terribly unhealthy.  However, she is still making excuses about her situation.  It is apparent that she hasn't gotten to "rock bottom" where she decides that if she truly wants to LIVE that she goes in for full time treatment.  She hasn't taken the steps necessary to obtain help from the agencies that will help her financially. Until she decides for herself that she needs full time 24/7 treatment and seeks it, we are all just banging our heads against a wall. At this point, all we can do is pray for her. Susan

I'm not sure who you are and why you are on here "the NC forum", but if your were not part of the initial converstion then I owe you no response.  And no I do not think that my response is right.  But as I was saying........  to your response, of the response I had left for "Cynthia".  What you said " For what it's worth... At this point, all we can do is pray for her."   I basically said the samething just not in those words.  And Cynthia knew what I was talking about.....  She (Amy) really needs alot of prayers, before we all "love her to death" Dana

My mistake.  I wasn't aware that only people from NC were allowed to participate on your board. Using my best Steve Martin voice... "Excuse me!"
