This morning Caroline, Paula, Lisa, Candice and I all met at Perkins in Raleigh for brunch. It was really delightful. We all shared experiences, concerns, and tips. Paula came bearing gifts! Paula ... Thanks for all the goodies. I know that we all appreciated the "stuff" and the info.

Meeting face to face is so nice. It's really great to be able to get to know one another on a personal level.

After brunch we went our own ways ... except that Lisa and I hit the Goodwill. What fun! I hit the jackpot and Lisa found a lovely top and some great things for the kids. We had a blast. (Lisa, I sure do wish you lived closer!)

We'll be having Get Together's in Raleigh on the 3 saturday of each month at 10 am at Perkins. I'll post it on www.meetup.com/101

 

One of these daze I'll have to crash a Raleigh get together. Would love to meet you guys, and daytime meetings work out so much better for me than night. (Can't see worth a s*** at night!) LOL     Have a happy weekend, Mare

The get-together was quite nice and I did enjoy meeting Candice, Caroline and Paula and of course spending some time with Barbara.  Candice, you are doing great and are such a bright and bubbly person. I imagine you would be a hoot to hang out with. You are going to be a force to be reckoned with! Caroline, you are getting ready to embarq on a new and life changing journey. I wish you luck and look forward to watching your success.  Paula, what a great inspiration you are with a great success for many years. You are a dancer so you are a kindred spirit!   It was worth the drive there for many reasons. Spending time with great people and I also got to go to Goodwill.....always love a good deal and then we went to Trader Joe's. I bought some high protein buffalo burgers to try and some other goodies as well.  Barbara, I do wish I lived closer but I can make it a point to make it down for some of the breakfasts every now and then. I don't mind driving.  I would love to have a partner in crime to shop with....lol. It's surprising that I don't have a close buddy here anymore so when I get to socialize with good adult company, I love it. I also love the talks and such.  Today was a nice break for me. A great deal of my time is not Lisa time. Don't get me wrong, I love my mom time, but Lisa time is rare these days.  Anyhow, today was great. Looking forward to the next one I can make.  By the way, Barbara, you also are doing fantastic and look great! Lisa

Thank you guys so much for including me!  I had such a great time!   You guys are such an inspiration!!   I mean...seriously!   WOW!    All the helpful advice, and listening to your stories.   It made everything seem real.   I am grateful that there are people like you all to have to be a support group!
