Need help with my avatar picture -please

Good morning everyone! I have tried for about a week to put my picture on my avatar.  I keep getting the reply that it exceeds the 100x100 pixels.

I have tried to save as a jpg file and even tried to compress the file. It is a simple face pic that I took and downloaded on my computer.   Does anyone have any tips? Thanks so much!  I am really beginning to feel computer "stupid". Elizabeth

You need to use a program like Paint shop or photo shop and reduce the size of the pixels so it is less then 100 x 100. If you are pulling your hair out I can do it for you if you want to email it to me
