appointment today

I will get right to the point. My legs were scanned and no clots then they went to remove the filter and there was a pretty big clot in the filter. They did not remove the filter and will try again next month. I am grateful the filter was there holding the clot. It was scarry looking at this thing and hearing everyone saying thank goodness I had the filter in. So they send me home with a perscription for lovenox 2 injections a day. I am scheduled to see my pcp on Monday for her to follow  me while I am on this blood thinner. The medication for just 10 shots came to 174 and without it it was 800 dollars OMG Mother was worried maybe I should not do my demo tomorrow but I feel ok and it is only 4 hours and I will be close to home.                                                    Annie

Please take care of yourself and don't push too hard. You may feel OK now but after a 4 hour demo.....???? This is the perfect time for you to treat yourself like a fragile princess and do as little as possible with exception of pampering and loving yourself.

Dear Annie, I am thanking God right now that you had that filter in! I had Lovanox injections the last 2 times I was in the hospital and they are nasty.  Who is going to inject them into you?  They have to be injected around your belly and the stuff stings like crazy.  Not to scare you, just to give you a heads-up. Make sure you schedule yourself some downtime after work.  You need to continue to take good care of yourself. Love you,

Hi Suzanne, I guess I am a pro at giving myself shots in my belly. After a year of doing insulin a few times a day you just do it because you have to. So far I have given myself two shots of the lovenox and yes it burns and after about 30 minutes I am in the bathroom. I feel like it is making me dump but I will do whatever it takes to disolve this clot.                                               Annie
