I haven't seen that number since I was in my early 20's ... and that was only for a few months. I'm hoping not to see it very long this time too, but for very different reasons and heading in a very different direction.

My little wow for this week. I can't believe that I'm actually 11 lbs away from the dreaded 200# mark! The farther away I get from it, the better I feel!

One of the Goals that I had was to be able to shop in the same store as my lovely sister. I wanted to be the same size as Karen. I remember thinking if only I could get down to a 14, I'd be happy with that. To be honest, I am. If I never lost another pound, I'd be disappointed, but it would be okay, because I feel Soooooo much better. Being off all of those diabetic meds means so much to me. It means that I'm so much healthier this September than I was last September when I weighed in at 253. So ... one of many goals met. Now, if I could only find a ticket to California I'd go shopping with my pretty little sister ... And, for the first time in our lives, we'd be shopping in the same store!

I am so glad that I did this.

This is wonderful news Barb you are so right when you say how glad you did the wls. If you get in smaller sizes keep me in mind for those 14's just to wear a 14 would be wonderful in fac 14 looks much better than a 24.                                    Annie

Hey Annie-

I'll see if I can slip 'em past my mom. My mother lives with me. Last year, she found out she was suffering from Stage 3 renal failure as another complication of her type 2 diabetes. THAT put the fear of God in her and over the past year she took off about 60 lbs. ... While, I've never been able to share clothes with my dear sister, Mom and I have seemed to stay in lock step ... However, I'm 5'6" and she's only 5'2" ... At any rate, we've been sharing clothes for years or will by the same outfit at different times and show up wearing the same thing LOL. So, when I had my surgery, Mom had lost from the mid-200's to the her present 198~. I just convinced her to get rid of her 18 and 20's. She still holding onto the 16's and she's got all my 14W's ... I just put her on a plane to CA and she has 'em in her bag. She can't wear my "misses" sizes yet, but I know she's eyeing 'em.

That's soooo true, 14's do look better than 24's. You know, I think I just might get out one of those old 24's, put a 14 Misses on top of it and take a picture ... you know that saying ... A picture is worth a thousand words.

Hey Sheila -

Thanks for the nice words. Glad to hear that we're in lock step ... I told you I felt you a kindred spirit! I just need to find my extra 3 or 4 inches of height ... I lost it somewhere. LOL

I'm looking forward to seeing you too.

Re: my DH ... I've been thinking of bringing him and my dear daughter down. I'm not sure yet. Haven't really solidified anything.

I'm sooo looking forward to seeing you again too!

I talked with Candice today. I think she's thinking about coming down. Have you heard from Lisa? Chareen? I was wondering about posting it on www.meetup.com/101 ... Thought it might help from a planning perspective ... Any thoughts?
