Thanks to all who gave me words of encouragment and prayers about my sight.
I have called and ordered some lenses for my right eye.
I can handle wearing a contact in my right eye which will help me get more mobile and I can start functioning again.
I also called Duke Eye center and am scheduled to see another eye doctor next Wednesday
As big as Duke is I feel like they can do the surgery sooner than 10/11.
I am taking the bull by the horns and refuse to just wait for something to happen.

I'm glad to hear that you can wear a lens to help you be more mobile until you have your surgery. As Suzanne said, you deserve kudos for taking your healthcare into you own hands and as you said "taking the bull by horns."
I'm looking forward to hearing that you've been scheduled for procedure soon.

I told my mom I was going to the Duke Eye center next week and she freaked out that I need to be patient and bcbs would not pay for me to see someone else.
Well I called bcbs and found out yes they would.
Our finacial advisor was with me when I called and agreed that you have to take a very proactive approach to your health care these days.
If I can fight for 3 years to have wls I can fight for this too.
I just told my mom I cant just sit here for the next month I need to be out doing things like going back to Curves.
mom is 77 and she comes from a different time.
