Ok folks- here's the details

We are planning a 2nd beach pot luck dinner on Sat 10/6 at 5pm at Carolina Beach ( I will be in an oceanfront condo and the party will be here....) We will plan a sunset celebration on the beach and then a healthy potluck dinner ( clothing swap too for those dropping sizes)- I have invited a few friends to stay with me ( only 2 bedroom condo). Beach rates are CHEAP in Oct ( $39-59/night at Microtel or Drifter's Reef). Candice was also looking into possibly a 2nd condo if folks want to go in with her. So- let's open this up for discussion-headcount???-who's coming? Who needs lodging? Who plans to come and return home that night? ( trying to get together early for the drivers of the evening). This event is open to all- come 1 , come all! Can't wait to see everyone and hopefully meet some new folks! Sheila

I'm coming...  At least on Friday if not Saturday (still working on trading a shift with someone).  I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I'm excited to meet everyone and just get away from Jville for a little bit...  ILets go dancing!  LOL!  A couple people can ride with me from Jville if they'd like but I don't know about my return yet...  Did I say I'm EXCITED??  LOL!

I'm going to come down. Haven't figured out the lodging logistics yet, but I'm going to come down.

I look forward to seeing everyone.

BTW Sheila ... Do you know what items are already being brought for the pot luck? I loved all the new goodies last time and am looking forward to new ideas this time too. I'll also see about bringing some clothes down.

Count me in too!  But I'll be "commuting" to and from my house.  Will definitely need the break as that is going to be my first week back at work!  Ugh!

I honestly have given no thought to the menu yet. I will probably make lil petite crabcakes.....my work has just gotten CRAZY busy- a wedding every weekend between now and Nov- so I need to make something up ahead of time. I'll throw out a few suggestions- the shrimp salad was AWESOME last time; need a LITTLE veggie tray,;maybe a small mixed fruit (?melon balls). To me- it's not so much about the food- but boy was it yummy and great to try new recipes- it's about the wonderful support and fellowship! Can't wait! Sheila

I would still love to come.  I have it marked on my calander.  I'm going to talk with a few friends here at work and see if they would like to come.  Donna will be back from having her surgery by then.  I hopefully will be alot closer to completing all my tests so I can have my surgery.  You definitely just have to look at me as a work in progress!  LOL

Hugs,

Bobbie

Barb- absolutely- bring on the marinated shrimp!!! I tried to make it and it did not come out as good as yours! I know this is a shrimp eating crowd! Thanks in advance. Bobbie- I so hope you ( and Donna) do the roadtrip- we are all works in progress - either pre-op or postop, so come join the fun and support. The last potluck, folks also brought clothes that were too big and everyone joined in a clothing swap- it was great fun and a good way to pick up "transtitional" clothing as you slide down to smaller sizes. See ya soon!
