Eastern North Carolina Support group??

There was one more thing I wanted to do before my surgery! I wanted to attend a support group! Low and behold the support group is the 20th of Sept and my surgery is scheduled for the 19th of sept... Anyone know where another one is before Sept 19th?? I know that I'll have the message boards if I can't get to one but I was hoping :(

Hi Jean.  I don't know of any support groups other than the one that they have at Pitt.  I just wanted to say hi and tell you that Dr. Chapman is wonderful.  He was my surgeon and I was very very pleased.  Pitt was great too.  Good luck and if you need anything, please let me know. Dr. Chapman is doing my surgery on the 26th.  When is the support group at Pitt?

Third Thursday of every month.  I think it's around 5 pm, but I don't know the exact time.  You can call his office and ask.

I went to that support group meeting in July.  It was great and helped me make the decision to proceed.  My surgery is still not scheduled yet but I plan to go to the meetings as often as I can.  It's pretty easy for me because I work here at the hospital.

The support meeting is at 4 pm third floor if the hospital and this month it is on the 20th. I could get in my walking and show up in my hospital gown with the IV pole in tote.  Hello Ellen... Thank you...

Hi Jean, Don't know how far you are from Wilmington, but Dr Harris' support group will meet on Tuesday Sept 9 at 6 pm if that is of any help.  Let me know if you want more details. Have a great day!

I'm not sure how far it is, I'm in greenville, but I have to work that night. Thank you anyways. How do you get a signature? I'm not a half wit but for the life of me I can't find where it is to set it up. The button is a mystery!! Jean
