Ok Post ops!!  I'm 16 months postop....and trying to stay focused.  HELP!!  How do you post ops do it?  Anyone out there this far out or farther?  How do you stay focused and how long did you lose weight?  I still have about 30 lbs to go...they say its the hardest and lord I believe it.  I should be happy because if  I never lose another lb I am lighter than I have ever been in my adult life!  I need to update my profile, I too pledge to be more faithful to the boards.... It has been a LONG time since I have logged on and sought advice or gave any! Preop I was 313 today I am 183ish.... depending on the day of the month+ or - 3 or 4 lbs

I need to update my pictures and my profile.... but over its been an amazing experience!  I have an awesome life compared to what it was...I would do it again tomorrow if I had to. Also who has fallen into diet drinks...ie Diet Dew or Diet Pepsi..... etc...  anyone?  Anyone with problems associated with that you think?  Who is still faithful to protein supplements?  Does it help?  Just need some good advice based on experience....  Hope to hear from folks thanks ROBIN

I am a little over 14 months out. I dont use fitday.com every day but I find doing it for a week every few weeks keeps me on track. I pretty much eat similar each day and can tell if extras are sneaking into my diet. I still ahve 8lbs more to go and I havent been focused on losing... the scale still has been slowly moving (not going up!) but I know if I use fitday everyday and be 100% focused the weight will come off quicker. If you have 30lbs to go I would suggest going back to basics and logging what you eat... have a follow up with your NUT to see if changes need to be made and make sure you are eating balanced. I havent fallen into the soda thing. I do keep fresca in the fridge and will on occasion have a few sips from the can.. maybe 1/2th. I am pretty much fine with drinking water and am happy with that! On the other hand I cant live without my energy drinks... I drink at least 1 a day of SF RedBull or Enviga.... I need the caffeine to make it thru the work day and I dont drink coffee. As for protein suppliments... I was actucally eating too much protein at one point. I stopped the suppliments at 6 months out and havent gone back. I feel with proper planning you can get more than eough protein thru food.  Thankfully I havent gotten seriously off track... there are weeks I eat more than others. There are times a few extra 'treats' sneak in... but for me its been about balance. I keep trigger foods out of the house. If I get something 'bad' I will eat a little until I am satisified and dump the rest down the drain or to the bottom of the trash so I am not tempted later. I limit myself to eating out twice a week... once for lunch and the other for dinner. I bring my lunch to work each day, including snacks so I am not tempted by other goodies around! Exercise is also key!! Keeping active allows to make up for any extras in my diet and also keeps me healthy.
