I'm not really worried about food.  I work in the ER so I don't get any set breaks. Most of the time I don't get a break at all.  So I am SOL as far as that goes.

Yes, scheduling may be the problem, but I suspect scheduling may also be the answer.  I will repeat everyone else's suggestions to keep sipping constantly.  Don't worry about mixing solids with liquids.  As early on as you are, you are probably on all liquids right now anyway.  Probably the most important factor for you right now is hydration.  You gotta sip all the time!  Try also adding one of those individual servings of Crystal Lite "On the Go" Hydration Lemonade.  It has electrolytes which may help dispel the headaches. So sorry you are going through this, it is still very early.  You will get the hang of it! All the best,

I had my first follow-up visit on Tuesday.  And he approved me for soft foods.  I bought the Crystal Light, but it was Berry Splash for hydration.  It think I'd like the Lemonade better.  Where did you get that from?

Wow he has you moving fast!  They are all different! The lemon is called "lightly lemon" and I like it because it is not overpowering in either sweetness or flavor. I would say whenever you are able to take a break or lunch, grab a few mouthfuls of protein of some sort. And remember to REST as well!!!  You are still recovering! All the best,

Thank you so much.  So I can get this at Wal-mart?  B/c I did not see that kind.  I'll go to another Wal-mart and see if they have that flavor.   I healed really well and I have no kind of illness what-so-ever.  He told me when I first started this journey that I was a perfect canidate.  So I guess that is why he has me moving so fast.  I'm off for 3 days so I will surely get my rest.  Thank you again.   Dana

DANA!!!!  I meant to tell you the other night... gatorade and orange juice. Dr. Lowe said for me to make sure I got them in for the electrolytes and potassium. Give it a whirl... I've not had a headache since Sat!

Hey Dana... I have REALLY been struggling with water this weekend.  I woke up with a good ole throbbing headache myself.   I hope you feel better soon and find your "balance"..  Keep your hopes up and don't get discouraged.  All of our bodies adjust differently....
