Sorry if this gets long, but I have to get this written down.  I am 2 months out, and have had 2 fills for a total of 2 cc's.  I have been feeling really great.  Never had a PB, slime, or stuck.  I was losing very steady until last week.  Right after I got my 2nd fill I felt more restriction.  I was feeling the restriction, but boy oh boy, I was HUNGRY!  I could not figure it out.  I wanted something to snack on (not good food!!) all day.  But after I ate, I was overfull, I could feel it.  I was so mad!!!!  Not to mention gained 1 lb. Well, today I started my TOM and I feel so much better!!!  Obviously this was PMS???  I have never really had much PMS in my life; usually just some sore boobs, but that is it.  I always thought the "hunger" was just me using that as an excuse for over-eating!  Now I know it is real!!! Whoo Hoo!  It feels so much better to eat like a Bandster again!

Lori, PMS can totally suck!!!  Thank goodness I got rid of that problem in 2003 with my hysterectomy!!  I was always so grouchy and moody in the days right before my TOM.  I sure don't miss all that mess!!!  Hopefully now that you know what triggered your snack attack, you will be able to recognize it in the future and have better control over it.  Our bodies try to outwit us all the time, don't they?!  Glad to hear that you are feeling better and more in control now.  Take care. Hugs, Donna

Calling all girls with PMS or PMDD.  Speak to your GYN.  There are now birth control pills you take for 3 months and then have your period.  That is only 4 times a year you must fight PMS.  Or you can take your BC pills you are now on, you just take them for 3 consecutive months.  But you MUST talk to your GYN don't just do this on your on.  It has been life changing for my daughter who suffers from PMDD.

Yes, I had such bad months with hemoraging, that I had an endometrial ablation called Novasure (www.novasure.com) that has been wonderful.  I have very light periods now that only last a couple of days.  Some women have no more periods.  It was painless to have done, some Dr.'s do it in their office.  Mine was outpaitent as he did a DNC prior to the procedure. Anyway, my point is that my Dr. said it helps women that have bad PMS.  I have not really had much PMS, not enough to complain about, now it is just the hunger!

Hi Lori! I think as women it is very common for us to gain a pound or 2 during our cycle.  (what does TOM stand for?)   time of the month?  I'm so dumb about internet shortcuts!  What is a PB? I live alone so I am not around folks cooking and eating.  I know when I go to visit my sister in Fayetteville, I eat more.  Well, Cindy is a great cook so it is difficult not to.  I don't feel like I overeat.. I just eat more. Our hormones trigger so many moods and physical changes.  I used to suffer greatly from god awful cramping (6th grade that joy began) grouchy, crying easily and yes, over eating, which led to the blues.  It seems I just ached all over.  I was miserable sick for 3 days every month.  Talk to your doctor or bariatric nurse about the eating aspect of it and see what they suggest.  Heck, there may be a pill for that. I do know that estrogen is stored in fat cells:  the ones we are not feeding.  And this can throw us into hyper-PMS or COL symptoms (depending on your age) every single month until our bodies readjusts itself to our new eating  habits and metabolism. Have a great holiday weekend! Hugs, Diane
