Anyone here a bandster?

I feel so alone ! lol

Don't feel alone Lexi!  I was banded 4 weeks ago. There are others on this board who also have been banded, stick around!  Even though you are a bander, there are a bunch of wonderful people here that can give support for so many things.   Nancy

Hey ladies! there you are :) Nancy - isnt your doc out here in Charlotte? I moved here from Wilmington last year. Why'd you choose to come here for surgery? Just wondering. He has a great reputation. Hi Lori! I met a few great people at the support group tuesday night, so that was good, but even that was mostly geared towards RNY. I was a little surprised too at how many people were there, I guess i expected something more.. intimate?

Lexi-- Yes, he's in Concord.  I chose him basically because there was no one who did banding in the area, and also my mother lives in Mooresville, so it's handy to have a place to stay.  I love Dr. Bauman's practice and wouldn't trade the drive for his excellence for anything. Nancy

Nancy, I totally agree.  Dr. Bowman has established an outstanding reputation for his bariatraic procedures throughout the southeast.  I live an hour away from his office, but consider that minor when I look at Dr. Bowman's credentials..  I will be banded two weeks from tomorrow.  Can't wait.    Barbara

Raises her hand high- "I'm  Banded" and also would of Dr Roc Buaman's pts- I encouraged Nancy to take a hike ( ok- to drive to Concord). As Nancy said- we are out numbered- but such great wisdom, support and insight here so join us often! Sheila

Hey Lexi - another bandster here. (Well I am MN right now visiting family.) If you are in Charlotte and looking for support we are starting a bandster support group at Southeast Bariatrics. I will have to update you on the first meeting but we are excited about it. There has been a goup meeting for just over 2 yrs now and we are very excited to finally have a real suport group setting. Our group has grown so much that it's time our little luncheons are just too big for us.  Welcome to the area if Charlotte is your area and if not just welcome. :-)
